본 연구는 상담자의 개인특성인 애착은 상담자가 관계를 맺는 능력인 역전이 관리능력과 공감을 매개로 작업동맹에 영향을 미칠 것으로 가정하고, 상담자의 애착, 역전이 관리능력, 공감, 작업동맹의 관계를 구조방정식 모형을 통해 검증하였다. 이를 위해 179명의 상담자의 자료를 분석하였고, 이론과 선행연구 결과를 토대로 연구모형과 대안모형을 설정하여 적합도 비교를 통해 최종 모형을 선정하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 상담자의 애착불안은 공감에 직접적인 영향을 미치고, 역전이 관리능력을 통해 간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 상담자의 애착불안은 작업동맹에 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않았고, 역전이 관리능력을 통한 간접적인 영향도 유의미하지 않았다. 셋째, 상담자의 애착불안은 공감에 영향을 주고 이는 다시 작업동맹에 영향을 주어 공감의 완전매개효과가 나타났다. 넷째, 상담자의 역전이 관리능력은 내담자에 대한 공감에 영향을 미치고, 작업동맹에도 영향을 주어 공감의 완전 매개 효과가 나타났다. 다섯째, 상담자 애착불안은 역전이 관리능력과 공감의 이중매개를 통해 작업동맹에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 연구의 시사점과 후속연구에 대한 제언을 논의하였다.

This study assumed that attachment, personal trait of counselors, will influence working alliance by mediating of empathy and countertransference management ability which is the counselor’s ability to manage the relationship, and the relationship of counselor’s attachment, countertransference management ability and working alliance was verified through structural equation modeling. The data from 179 counselors were collected and analyzed. Based on the theoretical and precedent research results, a research model and an alternative model were set up and a final model was selected through a comparison of fitness. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, counselors' attachment anxiety has a direct effect on empathy, and an indirect effect on empathy through management ability. Second, the attachment anxiety of the counselors did not directly affect the working alliance, nor did the indirect influence through the management ability. Third, the attachment anxiety of counselors influenced empathy and working alliances respectively and the complete mediation effects of empathy were appeared. Fourth, complete mediation effects of empathy were revealed since the counselor’s countertransference management ability influenced empathy and working alliance for the clients. Fifth, the attachment anxiety of the counselors was influenced on the working alliance through the dual mediation of the countertranference management ability and empathy. Based on the results, implications and suggestions for further studies are discussed.
