심리적인 어려움을 겪으면서도 상담기관을 방문하지 않는 현상인 서비스 갭(service gap)에 대한 이해를 위해 시작된 전문적 도움추구에 대한 연구들이 꾸준히 증가하면서 도움추구에 영향을 미치는 다양한 요인들에 대한 종합적인 이해가 필요한 시점이다. 본 연구에서는 도움추구 선행요인을 인구통계, 개인특성, 사회문화, 심리적 증상으로 분류하고 이러한 선행요인들이 도움추구(태도, 의도, 행동)에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 구체적으로 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 1998년부터 2016년까지 KCI 등재지와 박사학위 논문을 중심으로 전문적 도움추구에 관한 연구결과를 종합해보고 선행요인들에 대한 결과를 4가지 분류로 나누어 분석하였다. 검토결과, 연구에 사용하는 선행요인에 따라 일관된 연구결과를 보이지 않고 있어 동일한 선행요인별로 다각도로 검증을 해보는 후속연구들이 이루어져야 할 것으로 보인다. 이러한 결과들을 바탕으로 전문적 도움추구에 관한 향후 연구방향에 대해 논의하였다.

The study on the seeking professional help has been steadily increasing since it started for the understanding of the service gap, which is a phenomenon that doesn't visit counseling agencies when people have psychological difficulties. In this study, we try to classify the predisposing factors for seeking professional help as demographic, personal characteristics, social culture, and psychological symptoms. After that, we examine these predisposing factors how effect to the seeking professional help(attitude, intention, behavior). For the analysis, the articles in KCI listed journals and the doctoral dissertations published from 1998 to 2016 were used. The predisposing factors were classified into four categories and was analysed. The result of our study, we found there was no consistent research result according to the predisposing factors, and we concluded the next studies should be conducted to verify the effect of factors from various angles by the same predisposing factors for the seeking professional help. Finally, we discussed future direction of study on seeking professional help.
