본 연구는 그간 한국의 춤 예술에 관한 연구의 행보 가운데, 특히 한국의 전통과 예술의 정체성의 물음과 관련된 미학적 가치에 관한 성과에 유념하여 볼 때, 놀이에서 예술로의 전환과정에 기인한 한국적 미의 독창성에 주목하고 있다. 예술의 본성이 놀이와 유희충동에서 비롯된 산물이라는 관점에서 본다면 현재 한국춤의 장르는 놀이와 예술과의 차이를 별반 두기 어렵다. 이에 한국예술, 한국춤의 독자적 미의식을 ‘한국적 놀이와 유희’를 통해 탐구하고자 했고, 그것은 예술적 시야에서 본 공간성의 개념에 의해 기호적 공간 개념을 필요로 했다. 이러한 형식미학적인 논의는 ‘유희공간’이라는 미적 범주에 대한 새로운 의미적 체계를 논의 할 수 있었다.

This study is based on the results of the research on the dance arts of Korea, especially regarding the aesthetic value related to the question about the identity of Korean tradition and art, Of-the-art technology. From the viewpoint that the nature of art is a product derived from play and play impulse, the genre of Korean dance today is difficult to make a difference between play and art. Therefore, we tried to explore Korean aesthetics of Korean art and Korean dance through ‘Korean play’, which required the concept of symbolic space by the concept of spatiality in the artistic view. This type of aesthetic discussion was able to discuss a new semantic system of aesthetic space.
