This study was an attempt to check the role of anarchism in the form and differentiation of Korea Peasant Literature. The role of anarchism in Korea's Peasant Literature has been discussed in an extremely limited aspect. However, it has been found that a majority of members of 'Peasant Literature Society' that led the form and development of Japan's Peasant Literature from around 1923 were either anarchists or under the influence of anarchism. Also, when the theory of Peasant Literature of Ishikawa Sanshiro, Inuta Shigeru, and Kato Kazuo, and of 『Peasants』, the journal of ‘Peasant Literature Society,’ was discovered, it was found that their ‘physiocracy’ shared the same foundation with anarchism or had many things in common with it. Their ‘literature of dirt,’ anti-urban and anti-pro literature, and peasant-centered mindset reflect a broad influence of anarchism.
Korea's Peasant Literature Movement was very closely related to this flow of Japanese literature. In that process, Japan's physiocratic tendency was also reflected on the theory of Peasant Literature published by Sung Hwan Lee, Youn Lim, and Moon Il Heo in 『Chosun NongMin』, the magazine published by anarchists such as Suk Woo Hwang and Chondogyo, and in 『NongMin』. Even though they did not explicitly name themselves anarchists or promoted the anarchist movement, it is clear that Korea's peasant literature movement was related to anarchism. In Korea, physiocracy, unlike Japan, somewhat emphasized the nationalist character in relation to the character of magazine publishers, but it was gradually improved or assimilated with Japan's national physiocracy along with the emergence of fascism in the 1930s.
