본 연구는 불안장애를 가진 만 7세 여아의 아동중심놀이치료 과정에서 나타난 놀이주제 특성과 치료진보에 대해 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 놀이주제 분석 결과, 전체 회기에서 가장 두드러지게 표현된 놀이는 ‘관계’와 ‘불안/걱정’, ‘힘/통제’의 주제로 나타났다. 아동은 초기 단계에서 ‘관계’, ‘불안/걱정’, ‘슬픔/상실’, ‘의존’의 주제를 통해 라포 관계를 형성하였다. 중기 단계에서 아동은 ‘힘/통제’의 주제에서 ‘양육’과 ‘안전’, ‘보호’의 주제로 나아가며 점차 정서적 안정감과 안전기지를 형성하였다. 이후 놀이주제는 ‘혼돈/불안정’에서 ‘힘/통제’, ‘숙달’, ‘재생’의 주제로 변화되었다. 후기 단계에서는 ‘자기만족’과 ‘회복성’, ‘통합’의 주제가 주로 표현되었다. 다음으로 아동의 주증상의 변화를 검증하기 위해 치료진보 분석을 실시하였다. 가장 두드러진 치료 진보가 나타난 영역은 정서 영역의 ‘긍정적 감정’과 동기 영역의 ‘숙련놀이’, ‘좌절 견디기’, ‘놀이가 어려울 때도 계속 시도함’, 행동 영역의 ‘제한에 적절히 반응함’으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 불안장애 아동의 놀이 치료 과정을 다각적인 측면에서 분석하고 놀이주제의 특성을 밝혔다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 또한 아동의 성장과 치유가 어떤 역동적 과정을 거치며 나타나는지 진보 추이를 확인하고 치료성과를 검증하였다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate play themes and the therapy progress of a 7-year-old girl with anxiety disorder in child-centered play therapy. Anxiety and Power/Control themes were observed intensively and repetitively. The themes in the initial phase comprised Relationships, Anxiety, Grief/Loss, and Dependency. The themes in the middle phase were changed gradually from Power/Control to Nurturing, Safety/Security and Protection. Self/sufficiency, Resiliency and Integration themes were mainly shown in the final phase. When the results of the progress of the play therapy was evaluated, there was significantly growth in the areas of Positive affect, Mastery play, Frustration tolerance, Keeps trying, and Responds to limits. The significances of this research lies in the fact that it can help to verify the characteristics of play themes and the dynamic therapy progress of anxiety disorder.
