In modern Japanese, the compound verb“kizuku” is usually an intransitive verb, so “ni” is generally used for its accusative case. However, especially since the 90s, there have been a growing number of examples in which “wo”is used. There is a recognition problem that whether this tendency should be regarded as an error (misalignment) or a phenomenon in the process of language change. Given the fact that the Japanese speakers are actually using it in their daily lives, it is considered that there must be language reasons or some other reasons. According to this point, this paper reveals how it is used and the characteristics of its usage through comparing the two phrase, “wo-kizuku” and “ni-kizuku”
Through examination and analysis, it has been found that in the practical examples, the phrase “wo-kizuku” is only about 1.5 / 100 of the phrase “ni-kizuku”, but it is used in a relatively irregular, ministry type and passive form. It is presumed that there is the intention of the speaker to emphasize the object to be pointed out when “kizuku” is used singly. In particular, when the phrase“kizuku” is used in ministry form and passive form, it is considered that there is a tendency to use “wo”instead of “ni” to avoid conflict with "qualifier" representing subject.
