이 연구는 『훈민정음』 해례본의 핵심 텍스트인 <예의>와 ≪해례≫의 텍스트적 속성을 탐색해 보는 데 목적이 있다. 『훈민정음』 해례본의 텍스트적 속성을 살피기 위해 오늘날 텍스트 분석의 기본 틀로 자리매김한 Beaugrande & Dressler(1981)의 텍스트성 개념을 적용하였다. 단 『훈민정음』 해례본의 성격에 맞게 텍스트성에 대한 개념을 조정하여 분석 작업의 틀을 삼았다. 특별히 <예의>와 ≪해례≫는 상호텍스트성이라는 특수 관계로 생산되었으므로, 이러한 생산관계를 전제로 그 밖의 텍스트성이 <예의>와 ≪해례≫에 어떠한 양상으로 드러나는지 각 부분 텍스트의 내재성을 규명해 보고자 하였다. 이는 궁극적으로 <예의>와 ≪해례≫가 『훈민정음』 해례본의 핵심 텍스트로서의 기능을 담당하기 위해 어떻게 실체화되었는지 살펴본 것이다. 그 결과 <예의>와 ≪해례≫는 일곱 가지 텍스트성의 실체와 그들 간의 관계가 명확히 나타나는 텍스트임을 밝혀낼 수 있었다. 이 연구는 텍스트를 텍스트답게 만드는 여러 가지 요소들을 총체적으로 살펴봄으로써 『훈민정음』 해례본을 효과적으로 이해할 수 있을 것이며, 세계 유일의 문자 해설서인 『훈민정음』 해례본에 대한 가치를 다각적으로 탐구하는 데 기여할 것이다.

This study applies the textuality proposed by Beaugrande & Dressler (1981) to Yeui and Haerye, the core texts of Hunminjeongeum Haeryebon. we examine the seven categories of textuality in Beaugrande & Dressler(1981), the textual category and analysis of Hunminjeongeum Haeryebon. And make appropriate adjustments to the nature of Haeryebon to establish standards for analysis. First, intertextuality, which is the fundamental mechanism of core text production, is the premise of the analysis standard. Second, the concept of acceptability is divided into macroscopic and microscopic dimensions. Third, since the seven textualities have a correlation with each other, they are organically related and analyzed. Through this, we examine the intrinsic nature of each part of textual qualities as to how the textuality of Yeui and Haerye is revealed. As a result, this study will be able to effectively understand Hunminjeongeum Haeryebon by examining the various elements that make text textual, and will contribute to the diversity of approaches to explore the value of Hunminjeongeum Haeryebon, the world’s only text book.
