현재 제품디자인은 3D프린팅을 활용한 파라메트릭 디자인 제품에 관한 관심이 커지고 있으며, 이는 과거의 생산방식에서 발생했던 문제점을 해결한 새로운 생산방식과 공급이 가능해졌기 때문이며, 3D 프린팅으로 표현할 수 있는 소재나 형이상학적 패턴 등과 같은 차별점이 존재하기 때문이다. 이는 다양한 DIY킷 형식의 3D프린터 등의 보급으로 인해 낮은 비용으로 개인 생산기기의 구비가 가능해졌기 때문이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 디자이너 개개인이 소규모의 니즈를 발굴하여 제작 공급할 수 있는 3D프린팅 제작 기법에 대한 전체적인 프로세스를 이해하고, 제작이 가능한 차별화 요소로서 파라메트릭디자인 제품에 관하여 연구하고자 하였다. 이는 신구 제품디자이너들이 제품의 기획부터 생산, 공급에 이르기까지의 일련의 제품 생산 프로세스를 다룰 수 있게 되어, 이를 통해 과거에는 어려웠던 소규모 다수를 대상으로 한 프리미엄형 3D프린팅 제품디자인의 생산이 가능해졌기 때문이다. 이에 현재 다양한 독립변수를 통한 파라메트릭 기법으로 가치를 높인 제품이 해외에서 소개되고 있으며, 신소재의 적용도 다양한 방면에서 적용되는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 이러한 새로운 3D프린팅 기술분야의 접목으로 또 다른 가치를 창출시킬 수 있는 영역이 주목받고 있으며 향후에는 제품 디자인 영역에 미치는 영향이 더욱 커질 것으로 판단된다. 특히, 단순한 변수의 변경이 아닌 디자인 관점을 전제로 한 변수의 적용을 통한 파라메트릭 디자인 조형기법이 신개념으로 적용될 것으로 여겨진다.

Currently, product design is attracting much interest in parametric design products that utilize 3D printing. This is because new production methods and supplies that solve the problems that occurred in the past production methods have become possible, and materials that can be expressed by 3D printing Metaphysical patterns, and so on. This is because of the spread of various DIY kit type 3D printers, etc., it is possible to manufacture personal production equipment at low cost. In this study, we aimed to understand the whole process of 3D printing making technique that individual designers can find and supply small sized needs, and study parametric design product as a differentiating factor that can be produced. This enabled new and old product designers to deal with a series of product manufacturing processes ranging from product planning to production and supply, enabling the production of premium 3D printing product designs for small and large companies to be. Therefore, a product that has increased its value by parametric technique through various independent variables is being introduced overseas, and it can be confirmed that the application of the new material is also applied in various aspects. With the new 3D printing technology, it is expected to create more value and it will be more influential on the product design field in the future. In particular, parametric design modeling technique through the application of variables based on the design point of view is considered to be a new concept, not a simple change of variables.
