이 연구는 최근 일본에서 새로 도입하는 ‘대학입학공통테스트’ 국어 서술형 모델 문항 특성을 분석하고, 그러한 분석으로부터 서술형 문항 개발의 시사점을 얻고자 하였다. 분석 결과, 조건 제시형 서술형 문항, 일상생활 중심의 다양한 실용적 제재 선정, 구체적인 채점기준의 작성이라는 평가 도구적 측면의 특성을 파악할 수 있었다. 또한 실질적인 문제 상황의 설정과 해결 과제의 제시, 대화·토론·협의 등을 통한 의견 교환을 강조, 특정 관점을 견지한 여러 언어 주체의 설정, 사고와 판단을 통한 결정의 언어 요구 등 언어능력 평가 측면의 특성도 파악할 수 있었다. 실생활 제제만을 선정한 점, 단순한 조건 제시의 방식 등 몇 가지 한계가 있기는 하지만 공통테스트의 국어 서술형 문항은 우리의 대입 서술형 문항 개발에 많은 시사점을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

This study analyzed the Japanese writing test model items included in the “Common Test for University Admissions” in Japan and studied the implications of the test characteristics on the evaluation methods in Korea. It analyzed the significance of introducing the writing test items in education reform in Japan, the composition of the writing test items, and the characteristics of evaluation criteria and methods. Through this analysis, we ascertained the characteristics of the writing test items and the implications of what language abilities are emphasized through writing test items. Through this study and subsequent efforts, we hope to contribute to developing the educational field in Korea.
