본 연구의 목적은 대학생이 지각한 부모의 부부관계가 이성관계 갈등해결전략에 미치는 영향의 파악과 정서지능의 매개효과를 살펴보는 것이다. 이러한 연구목적의 수행을 위해 서울 및 경기 소재 9개의 4년제 대학에 재학 중인 대학생 440명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였고, 상관분석, 위계적 중다회귀분석을 사용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모의 부부관계는 이성관계 갈등해결전략에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 부모의 부부관계와 이성관계 갈등 해결전략에서 정서지능의 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 대학생이 인지한 부모의 부부관계의 질에 따라 이성관계 갈등해결전략이 달라지고, 그 관계에서 정서지능이 높을수록 긍정적 갈등해 결전략을 더 많이 사용하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 통해 교육이나 상담 장면에서 부모의 부부관계 향상과 더불어 자녀의 정서지능을 강화, 활용할 수 있는 접근법이나 전략 개발이 필요함을 알 수 있다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of parents' marital relationships on conflict management strategy of college students focusing on the mediation effect of emotional intelligence. For this purpose, the data were collected from 440 students who are attending 9 universities located in Seoul and Gyeon-gi province. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation and hierarchical multiple regression. The results of this study were as follows. First, there was a significant relationship between parents 'marital relationship and conflict management strategy. Second, there was a mediation effect of emotional intelligence and its sub-factors in the relationship between parents' marital relationship and conflict management strategy. In other words, according to the quality of parents' marital relations perceived by college students, conflict management strategy of heterosexual relationship was changed, and as emotional intelligence was higher, more positive conflict management strategies were used. These results suggest that it is necessary to develop an approach or strategy that can enhance and utilize the emotional intelligence of the children including improving parents’ marital relationship quality in the educational or counseling practice.
