인종과 종교의 차별，동성애자에 대한 증오，여성폄하와 비하 등 특정 집단을 맹목적으로 비난하고 배제하는 혐오의 분위기가 전(全)지구적으로 확산되고 있다. 특히 서구유럽에서는 극우정당들이 득세하면서 인종 주의적 차별감정이 팽배해 지고 곳곳에서 이들에 대한 폭력이 발생하고 있다. 혐오 혹은 메스꺼움은 특정 음식에 대한 신체의 민감성에 따른 거부반응이지만 특정한 사물이나 인간집단에 대해서도 나타나는 현상으로 혐오대상을 격리，배척，소멸 시키려는 폭력적 행위와 밀접한 연관을 맺고 있다. 혐오 또는 메스꺼움은 타자에게 ‘오염되고 위험한 유기물，이라 는 속성을 부여하고 이를 제거하려 한다는 점에서 인종주의와 밀접히 연관된 ‘생명정치，의 바탕을 이루는 감정이기도 하다. 혐오대상은 특정 집단이 자신들 내부의 통합을 도모하여 기득권을 유지하고 확장하기 위 해 이데올로기적으로 구성해 온 정치，역사，사회적인 인위적 구성체이다. 우익보수주의자들이나 종교근본주의자들은 특정집단을 사회질서를 교란하고 파멸하려는 이단으로 간주하고，그들에 대해 과장되고 왜곡된 속성을 부여하면서 맹목적 비난을 서슴지 않는다. 이 글은 혐오와 메스꺼움의 감정의 특징을 논한 후，종교적 희생제의와 생명정치 관점에서 한국의 우익보수주의자들이 이른바 ‘종북(좌파)’을 통해 확산시키고 있는 혐오감정에 대해 논의하고 있다. 그리고 이러한 혐오 혹은 메스꺼움의 감정과 배제의 정치가 참여와 연대，소통과 설득，이해와 공감 등 공화주의의 연대를 저해하는 부정적 감정임을 밝히고 있다.
The feelings of disgust and hate are wandering the globe. The atmosphere of blindly condemning and excluding certain groups, such as anti-hallyu(Korean wave), violence of Neo-Nazists, raicism, homophobia, and anti-feminism, is widespread over the world. In addition, the racist discrimination and violence are occurring everywhere as right-wing parties supporting anti-immigration, anti-refugee, and anti-Muslim policies are in power. Disgust originally means a rejection to a specific food due to increased sensitivity of the body, but it also means a phenomenon caused by a feeling of discomfort or hatred to a particular object, group or people: in this sense, disgust is closely related violent acts of isolating, excluding, or extinguishing the object of disgust. Disgust toward human being is also the basic emotion of ‘biopolitics’ in that its racist thinking treats others as polluted and risky and thus tries to eliminate them. The objects of disgust are political, historical, and social products: they are artificial constitutions, constructed ideologically by certain groups to promote their inner integration and to maintain and expand their vested rights. Right-wing conservatives and religious fundamentalists declare certain groups as a heresy to disturb and destroy social order and blindly criticize them, putting the blame of exaggerated, distorted attributes. After discussing characteristics of the feelings of disgust, this article discusses emotion of disgust that Korean right-wing conservatives are spreading through so-called “pro-North (left-wing) forces” discourse in terms of religious sacrifice and biopolitics. It also shows that such emotion of disgust and exclusionary politics are negative emotions which interfere with republican solidarity based on reflection of ‘the other,’ including participation, solidarity, communication, persuasion and understanding.
