장소(place)와 위치(location), 특히 인스타그램에 태그되는 위치와 공간(spaced)등은 테크놀로지화한 첨단도시 안에서 젊은 세대들이 인터넷을 통해 검색하거나，인스타그램，페이스북 등 SNS를 통해 신의 존재증명을 하는 가장 손쉬운 방법이면서 동시에 즐겁게 활용하는 자기 표현의 물리적 좌표 이다. 이 좌표는 SNS 활동을 통해 빅데이터로 포착이 가능하다. 이 연구를 요약적으로 표현하자면 ‘빅데이터를 활용한 도시공간 연구과정에 대해 행위자네트워크 이론을 적용하여 해석해보는 연구’라고 할 수 있다. 말하자면 도시공간 향유의 궤적을 밝히는 빅데이터 활용 연구를 진행하면서 사용한 방법론에 대한 성찰이라고 할 수 있다. 인스타그램 포스트를 빅데이터 분석으로 공간향유 지도를 그리는데 있어서 전 과정에 걸쳐 행위자네트워크 이론을 적용하여 이른바 인간 행위자와 비인간 행위자가 지형도 위에서 어떠한 번역(translation) 과정과 기입 (inscription)，그리고 기술(description)의 모습을 보여주는지 그 과정에 대한 내시경적 관찰을 토대로 분석한 ‘과정에 대한 기록과 그 기록에 대한 분석’이다. 이 연구를 통하여 공간향유 궤적 이 가시화되는 과정에서 다양한 행위자의 행위성이 네트워크를 형성하여 현실 속의 장소와 중첩되면서 새로운 도시공간에 대한 감각을 포착하게 한다는 점을 밝힐 수 있었다.

Young generation in the high-tech city like Seoul with information technology, remain their traces in the form of material images and narratives, simply named as posts in Instagram accounts. Each post contains huge informations. This study is about the analysis on the research process for cultural topography on the theoretical framework of actor-network theory(ANT). It is a kind of risky attempt to apply the theory into practical field which is still controversial. In this study, human actors, SNS users and their followers who remain comments and tags, and researchers who analyze with big-data, and inhuman actors, for example, Instagram posts, codes, computer programs, images, comments, cafes where the posts are tagged, etc. are considered as the actants which consist of the actor-network. Especially the process of translation is the main theme of this analysis. This analysis provides various perspectives to interpret the cultural topography which is the visualized result of the coding of the Instagram posts.
