새로운 세계관의 모색은 지금 이 시대의 피할 수 없는 요청이다. 새로운 세계관의 구성이라고 하는 시대적 요청에 부응하는 작업을 수행하는 데 있어서, 동양사회사상은 풍부한 자원을 내장하고 있는 보고寶庫이다. 바로 이런 맥락에서, 동양사회사상학회 회원들은 동양사회사상을 토대로 하여 새로운 세계관을 구성하기 위해 많은 노력을 기울여 왔다. 『동양사회사상』에는 지난 10년에 걸쳐서 세계관과 관련하여 총 33편의 논문이 발표되었다. 발표된 논문에는 다음과 같은 특징이 있다. 첫째, 연구자별로 동양사회사상을 접목하여 새로운 세계관의 구성을 시도하고 있다. 통체統體-부분자적部分子的 세계관, 통일체적 세계관, 리기론적理氣論的 세계관, 음양론적 세계관, 3수 분화의 세계관 등이 그 대표적인 결과물이다. 둘째, 새로운 세계관에 대한 논의는 사회관인간관관계관 등 다양한 분야에서 시도되고 있으며, 노인문제여가문제가족문제 등 실천적인 영역으로도 연구 범위가 확대되고 있다. 본 논문은 새로운 세계관의 모색이라는 현 시대의 과제에 대해서, 동양사회사상을 바탕으로 그 답을 찾고자 한 동양사회사상학회 회원들의 연구를 리뷰하고 그 의미를 평가하기 위한 것이다.

Exploration of new world view is very imminent task of this generation. To meet the request of the time, East Asian social thoughts is very valuable. The members of the Association of East Asian Social Thoughts have endeavored very much to construct new world view based on East Asian social thoughts. During last ten years, 33 papers have been published in the Journal of East Asian Social Thoughts. The papers have the characteristics as follow. First, researchers have tried to construct new world view based on East Asian social thoughts. The whole-and-part world view, the unitary world view, Li-Ch’i paradigm, Yin-Yang theory are the typical cases. Second, the discussion on new world view includes a view of human being, a view of society, a view of relation. The practical issues like as the problems of the aged, leisure, and family are also investigated based on the new world views. The purpose of this paper is to review and evaluate the 33 world view related papers published in the Journal of East Asian Social Thoughts.
