3인칭 대명사 ‘kare/kanojo/karera’와 ‘kono hito/sono hito/ano hito’의 분별사용을 밝히기 위해서 ①조응 관계 ②대명사로의 변경 요인 ③화제의 인물과 대명사의 관계에 대해서 고찰했다. 그 결과는 다음과 같이 정리할 수 있다. ①기본적으로 ‘kare/kanojo/karera’의 조응 관계는 서로 중복될 수 있는 것에 반해, ‘kono hito/sono hito/ano hito’는 서로 중복될 수는 없다. ② ‘kare/kanojo/karera’로의 변경 요인은 반복을 회피하는데 집중적으로 나타나고, ‘kono hito/sono hito/ano hito’의 변경 요인은 반복의 회피 이외에도 강조, 테마의 전환, 담화 환경의 변화, 회상으로도 나타난다. ‘kono hito’는 ‘kare/kanojo/karera’로부터 담화 환경의 변화 때문에, ‘sono hito’는 명사로부터 강조 때문에 변경되는 경우가 많다. ③화제의 인물에는 기본적으로 ‘kare/kanojo/karera’가 사용된다. 단 화제의 인물이 예수그리스도나 영령과 같은 특별한 존재일 때는 ‘kono hito/sono hito/ano hito’가 사용된다.

To identify the discretional use of the third-party pronouns of ‘kare/kanojo/karera’ and ‘kono hito/sono hito/ano hito’, this study is on the ① anaphoric relation, ② modifying factor to the pronoun and on the ③ relation between the character of the topic and the pronoun, and the results are summarized as follows; ① Basically, the anaphoric relation of ‘kare/kanojo/karera’ can be overlapped, but the ‘kono hito/sono hito/ano hito’ cannot be overlapped. ② The modifying factor to ‘kare/kanojo/karera’ is shown intensively in avoiding the repetition, but the modifying factor of ‘kono hito/sono hito/ano hito’ is shown not only in avoiding repetition, but also in emphasis, conversion of theme, change in a conversational environment and recollection. There are many cases of change in ‘kono hito’ due to the change in a conversational environment from ‘kare/kanojo/karera’, and ‘sono hito’ is changed frequently due to the emphasis from the noun. ③ Basically, ‘kare/kanojo/karera’ is used in the character of the topic. However, when the character of the topic is a special such as Jesus Christ or a spirit, ‘kono hito/sono hito/ano hito’ is used.
