상담자발달은 상담의 질에 영향을 미치는 중요한 선행변인이다. 상담자발달에 영향을 미치는 개인적 요인 중 상담자의 원가족건강성은 상담자의 상담 입문 동기가 되기도 하지만, 역전이 등에 대한 상담자의 자기성찰이 부족할 경우 상담자발달을 저해하는 요인이 되기도 한다. 따라서 이러한 원가족건강성과 상담자발달을 매개 혹은 조절하는 변인이 무엇인지에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 선행연구결과에 기초하여 상담자의 원가족건강성이 상담자 발달수준에 미치는 영향을 상담자의 자기돌봄이 매개하는지를 보고자하였다. 이를 위하여 본 연구는 다양한 경력 수준을 가진 상담자 168명을 대상으로 설문지법을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 자료분석 결과, 상담자의 원가족건강성은 상담자 발달수준에 유의미한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 이러한 영향력은 상담자의 자기돌봄에 의해 부분적으로 매개되는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 상담자의 원가족경험이 부정적일 경우라도 상담자의 자기돌봄행동을 통해 그것이 상담자발달에 미치는 영향을 중재할 수 있음을 시사한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 상담자 자기돌봄행동이 원가족경험의 영향을 매개하는 중요한 역할을 하기 때문에, 지속적인 상담자발달을 위하여 초심상담자의 교육훈련에 더하여 상담자의 개인적, 전문적 자기돌봄이 이후로도 지속적으로 이루어져야 함을 제언하였다.

Counselor’s development is a core factor of counseling service quality. The overall health of the family of origin can be an important factor affecting the development of the counselor, unless there were enough self-reflection and the management of counter-transference. So, this study is focusing on the mediating effects of counselor’s self-care in the relationship between counselor’s experience from the family of origin and counselor’s developmental level. Data collected from 168 counselors from novice to the experienced, working in Seoul and Gyonggi province using questionnaire survey was analyzed. The counselor’s family of origin health showed a statistically significant effect on the level of counselors’ development. These influences were partially mediated by counselors’ self care. These results suggest that the counselor 's self - care can mediate the effects of counselor' s family of origin experience on the counselor 's development even if the counselor' s family of origin experience is negative. Therefore, in addition to the education and training of the novice counselors, the counselor 's personal and professional self - care should be consistently maintained for the continuous counselor development.
