본 연구는 자살유가족으로 살아낸 경험에 대한 자전적 내러티브 연구이다. 전문상담사로서 심리상담을 연구하는 ‘나’는 가족의 자살을 경험하면서 자살유가족으로서 겪는 고통에 대해 시간의 흐름에서 심리적 과정을 서술하는 것이 상담학에서 중요한 의미를 가진다고 보았다. 이러한 개인의 경험을 질적 연구 중 자전적 내러티브 연구방법을 통해 가족의 자살을 경험하는 시점과 그 이후의 삶으로 나누어 연구자의 경험을 내러티브로 기술하고, 그것을 성찰적으로 재기술 하였다. 이러한 과정은 개인적으로는 자살유가족으로서 경험하게 되는 감정들을 겪으며 ‘살아내고 있는 나’에 대한 돌봄과 지지의 의미를 가지며, 실제적으로는 상담자가 상담 장면에서 접하게 되는 자살유가족의 심리적 과정을 이해하는 기초 자료가 되기 위함이고, 사회적으로는 자살유가족에게 필요한 관점을 인간중심상담이론을 바탕으로 고찰하는데 그 중요성이 있다.

This study is an autobiographical narrative study on the experiences of suicide survivors. As a professional counselor, I, who studies psychological counseling as a professional counselor, found that describing the psychological process in the time course of suffering as a suicide bereaved family while experiencing suicide in the family has an important meaning in counseling. In the qualitative research of these individuals, the narratives of the researchers' experiences were divided into the time of experiencing the suicide of the family through the autobiographical narrative method and the life after that. This process is intended to be a basic data for understanding the psychological process of the suicide bereaved family that counselors are exposed to in the counseling scene through the researchers' experience, and it is important to consider the viewpoints necessary for the suicide bereaved family on the basis of the person-centered counseling theory.
