고령화시대에 보다 나은 노인복지정책의 실현을 위해, 본 연구는 다양한 복지서비스가 노인의 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 한국복지패널의 4-11차 조사데이터를 기반으로 65세 이상 노인들이 응답한 주거 만족도, 가족관계 만족도, 사회적 친분 만족도, 여가생활 만족도 전반적 만족도를 종속변수로 활용하였다. 또한 11가지의 다양한 노인복지서비스에 대한 경험여부를 독립변수로 제시하였다. 분석결과 사회교육과 일자리 지원, 방문봉사와 의료비지원, 무료급식 등은 각종 삶의 만족도에 긍정적 영향을 줄 확률이 높았다. 다만, 기초연금을 비롯해 일부 복지서비스들은 정책대상자의 만족도 제고 측면에서 질적 개선이 필요하였다.

In this research, various welfare services were analyzed to see how they affect the elderly’s satisfaction with life, for the ultimate goal of developing policies for the elderly better suited to the era of population aging. Drawing on the results of 4th-11th surveys by the Korean Welfare Panel, the satisfaction of the elderly aged 65 and above with their health, housing, family relationship and overall circumstances was taken as dependent variable, and whether or not they have received any of 11 types of welfare services was taken as independent variable. As a result of the analyses, social education and job placement support, house-visit volunteering and medical cost support, and free meal provision were found to be more likely to have a positive impact on the elderly’s satisfaction levels. And yet, systems related to various long-term care insurance policies including basic pension, and care services need improvement so as to enhance recipients’satisfaction. Among socio-demography factors taken as control variable, education is more likely to have a positive impact on the elderly’s satisfaction levels. In this research, welfare policies were evaluated with a subjective criterion of the elderly’s satisfaction with their lives. Going forward, more diversified approaches need to be taken in research on the impact of welfare policies, in the viewpoint of recipients, so that welfare policies can improve and better contribute to improving the elderly’s life quality, and social security and welfare policies.
