이 연구의 목적은 동화와 연계한 가베 활동이 지적장애 유아의 수학적 개념에 미치는 영향을 알아보는데 있다. 연구의 구체적인 문제는 첫째, 동화와 연계한 가베 활동이 지적장애유아의 수학적 개념(수세기 개념, 위치공간 개념, 분류 개념)에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지, 둘째, 동화와 연계한 가베 활동이 중재 종료 후 수학적 개념의 일반화 및 유지에 영향을 미치는가 이다. 연구 대상 유아는 경상북도 P시의 장애전담 어린이집에 재원중인 지적장애 유아 1명을 대상으로 행동간 중다 간헐 기초선 설계를 사용하였다. 중재를 통해 다음과 같은 결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 동화와 연계한 가베 활동을 적용한 수학적 개념 중재는 지적장애 유아의 수학적 개념(수세기 개념, 위치공간 개념, 분류 개념)의 수행률 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 중재를 통해 지적장애유아의 수학적 개념 수행률 증가는 중재가 종료 된 후에도 일반화 및 유지되었다. 이와 같은 결과는 동화와 연계한 가베 활동이 지적장애 유아의 수학적 개념을 향상시키는 유용한 방법임을 시사한다. 동화와 가베를 연계하여 지적장애유아의 다양한 인지수준을 고려한 후속 연구가 필요함을 제언한다.

The purpose of this study is to examine an effect of Gabe activities connected to fairy tales on mathematical concepts of infants with intellectual disability. This study is the following subjects for inquiry were set. First, how do Gabe activities connected to fairy tales have an effect on mathematical(counting concepts, location and space concepts, classification concepts) of infants with intellectual disability? Second, how do this intervention have an effect on generalization and maintenance of mathematical concepts after the termination of mediation? For the infant of the subject who participated in this study, multiple probe design across behaviors was used targeting an infant with intellectual disability who attends the day care center for young children with disabilities in P city, Gyeongsangbuk-do. And through mediation, the following constructions were drawn as follows : The above results imply that Gabe activities connected fairy tales are the useful method which improves mathematical concepts of infants with intellectual disability. The study suggested that next studies which considered various cognitive levels of infants with intellectual disability are required.
