교육현장에서 읽기 어려움을 가진 학생들을 조기에 발견하고 적절한 지도를 제공하는 것은 매우 중요한데, 이를 위해서는 효과적인 읽기능력 선별도구가 있어야 한다. 그러나 현재우리나라의 읽기능력 선별도구는 학생이 직접 응답하는 것이 아니라 교사 응답 방식이어서 학생의 정확한 읽기능력을 평가하기에는 제한점이 있다. 따라서 학생의 정확한 읽기능력을 평가하기 위해서는 학생 응답식의 읽기능력 선별검사의 개발이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 학생 응답식 읽기학습기능 선별검사(초등학교 저, 중, 고학년용)를 개발하고, 초등학생 1,380명을 대상으로 표준화를 실시한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 선별검사의 신뢰도를 검정한 결과 문항내적합치도는 저학년 .921, 중학년 .929, 고학년 .893으로 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 타당도 검정에서 내용타당도는 국내·외 선행연구를 통해 확인하였고, 구인타당도는 소검사간 상관, 확인적 요인분석, 회귀분석 및 집단 차이 비교를 통해 확인한 결과 타당한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 공인타당도 또한 높은 것으로 나타났다. 끝으로 연구결과의 요약 및 제언이 논의되었다.

It is very important to find students with reading difficulties early in the education field and provide appropriate guidance, which requires an effective reading screening tool. However, the Korean reading ability screening tool is based on not a direct responsess of students but a teacher responsess, so there is a limit in evaluating the students' correct reading ability. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a reading ability screening test based on the students responses type in order to evaluate the students' correct reading ability. In this study, we developed a screening test for reading skills based on students' responses(for lower grade, middle grade and upper grade in elementary school), and the results of standardization of 1,380 elementary school students are as follows. First, as a result of examining the reliability of the reading skills screening test, inter-item consistency was high at lower grade .921, middle grade .929, upper grade .893. The second, in terms of validity, content validity was established by domestic and overseas preceding studies. As a result of conducting correlation analysis, confirmative factor analysis, regression analysis and analysis comparing differences among groups, the developed screening test turned out to be appropriate. Third, concurrent validity was also quite high. A summary of the study and some suggestions were discussed for further studies.
