기술의 발전과 함께 건축 공간을 설계하고 구축하는 방법이 점차 다양해지고 있다. 상황에 따라서는 전체적인 건축 공사의 시간을 단축시킬 필요가 있으며, 특히 이재민 등 특수한 상황에 처한 사용자들에게는 필요한 공간을 제공하여, 삶을 복원할 수 있는 시간을 마련함으로써 재난 환경으로부터 신속하게 대피시킴과 동시에 안정된 삶의 공간을 제공해야 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구를 통해서 프리패브 모듈러 건축을 재난 상황에 효과적으로 적용하는 방법에 대해서 연구하였고, 프리패브 모듈러건축의 범위를 산정하기 위한 조립식 건축물, 프리패브 건축물 등 성공적으로 수행 및 적용이 완료된 사례를 중심으로 분석하였다. 이를 위해 프리패브 건축물의 구조, 조립방법, 재질, 기능의 요소 분석을 전개하였으며, 결과적으로 재난 상황을 위한 프리패브 모듈러 건축은 제작 단가와 조립 비용을 최대한 낮춰야 하며, 손쉽게 유지 보수가 가능해야 할 것이다. 아울러 특정한 기능을 효율적으로 수행할 수 있는 구조 및 재질의 고려가 필요하고, 이재민들의 인간다운 생활을 위한 다양한 커뮤니티 시설을 동반하며, 사용자들의 안전한 생활을 위한 안전 및 보안에 대한 해결 방안도 제공해야 한다.

With the development of new technology, the ways of designing and constructing architectural space are becoming more diversified. Depending on the specific situation, it is necessary to shorten the process of the overall construction work. It is necessary to provide the space in a short period of time for users, to stabilize living condition of the victims as quickly as possible and to return them to their living space quickly from various disaster environments where the incidence is gradually increasing. This research suggests the way to apply pre-fabricated modular architecture effectively to disaster situations by researching and analyzing pre-fabricated modular construction, and pre-fabricated building which are successfully implemented and applied to the specific situation. The pre-fabricated modular construction for disaster environment should minimize the production cost and assembly cost, and the structure needs to be easily maintained by users. Also, materials should be efficiently applied to the structure, the safety and security of users should be considered for the safe living of users, and various community facilities need to be accompanied.
