본 연구는 초심상담자의 진정성이 작업동맹에 미치는 영향과 그 관계에서 자기초점적 주의와 공감적 이해의 역할을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 초심상담자 237명을 대상으로 진정성, 자기초점주의, 공감적 이해, 작업동맹을 측정하였으며 구조방정식을 통해 연구모형을 검증하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 변인들 간의 상관관계 분석 결과, 진정성, 자기초점적 주의, 공감적 이해, 작업동맹 사이에 유의한 상관이 나타났다. 둘째, 초심상담자의 진정성과 작업동맹 간의 관계에서 자기초점적 주의와 공감적 이해의 매개효과가 나타났다. 셋째, 초심상담자의 진정성과 작업동맹 간의 관계에서 자기초점적 주의와 공감적 이해가 순차적으로 매개효과를 보였다. 끝으로 본 연구가 가지는 의의와 한계를 기술하였다.

The study is intended to explore mediating effects of self-focused attention, empathic understanding on the relation between the authenticity of a counselor and working alliance. For the purpose of this study, a total of 273 novice counselors completed a questionnaire including Korean Authenticity Scale, SDSAS, empathic understanding, WAI. The model was verified by Structural Equation modeling. The results were as follows: First, there is a close correlation between authenticity, self-focused attention, empathic understanding and working alliance. Second, self-focused attention and empathic understanding mediated the relationships between authenticity of a novice counselor and working alliance respectively. Third, the mediating effect of self-focused attention and empathic understanding appeared sequentially in the relationships between authenticity of novice counselors and working alliance. In conclusion, the implications and limitations of this study were discussed.
