본 연구의 목표는 상담자의 일반 상담역량, 다문화 상담역량, 사회정의 옹호 상담역량간의 구조적 관계를 밝히고, 세 가지 상담 역량에 대한 잠재 프로파일 분석을 실시한 후 잠재집단의 특징을 이해하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 다문화 상담에 대한 관심이나 경험이 있는 상담자와 상담 대학원생 428명을 대상으로 인구통계학적 특성, 상담자 발달수준 척도, 다문화 상담역량 척도, 사회정의 옹호 상담역량 척도를 실시하였다. 그 결과 상담자의 상담역량은 일반 상담역량, 다문화 상담역량, 사회정의 옹호상담역량의 위계구조로 나타날 수 있음을 확인하였고, 세 가지 상담역량에 따른 잠재집단은 5개로 나타났다. 각 잠재집단의 특성에 따라 일반 상담역량이 특히 낮은 ‘일반상담 취약집단’, 세 가지 상담역량이 전체적으로 낮은 ‘상담역량 취약집단’, 세 가지 상담역량 중 일반 상담역량이 높은 ‘일반 상담역량 집단’, 다문화 사회정의 상담역량이 높은 ‘다문화 사회정의 역량 집단’, 세 가지 상담역량 전체가 높은 ‘높은 역량집단’으로 명명하였다. ‘높은 역량집단’에서 연령ㆍ학력ㆍ경력ㆍ사회정치적 관심 등이 높았고, 다문화 수강 경험 및 다문화 상담 경험도 많았다. ‘상담역량 취약집단’과 ‘일반상담 취약집단’에서는 이러한 특성들이 유의하게 낮은 것으로 나타났다.

This study was to clarify the structural relationship among the counselor's general counseling competency, multi-cultural counseling competency and social justice advocacy counseling competency, and to understand the characteristics of each group after analyzing the potential profile of the three counseling competencies. For these purposes, demographic characteristics, counselor development level scale, multi-cultural counseling competency scale, and social justice advocacy counseling competency scale were administered to 428 counselors or graduate students with experiences or interest in multi-cultural counseling. The results were as follows. The counselor's counseling competency was identified as a hierarchical structure of general counseling competency, multi-cultural counseling competency, and social justice advocacy counseling competency, and a total five latent groups according to three counseling competencies were identified. The subtypes according to the characteristics of each latent group are named as follows; ‘The general counseling vulnerable group’ being a especially low level of general counseling competencies, ‘The low counseling competency group’ being a generally low level of all counseling competencies, ‘The general counseling competency group’ being a high level of general counseling competencies, ‘The multi-cultural social justice competency group’ being a high level of multi-cultural and social justice advocacy counseling competencies, The high competency group’ being a high level of all the three counseling competencies. In ‘The high competency group’, age, education, career, social and political interest, experiences of multi-cultural education, and experiences of multi-cultural counseling were high, These characteristics were significantly low in ‘The low counseling competency group’ and ‘The general counseling vulnerable group’.
