래저러스(Lazarus)는 분노, 불안, 죄책감, 수치심 등의 경험에 의해 일어나는 열다섯 개의 감정에 대해 각각의 감정마다 뚜렷한 드라마나 독특한 줄거리가 있다고 한다. 그것은 개인의 경험에 부여하는 개인적인 의미를 전달하고, 각 감정마다 하나의 플롯이 전개된다고 한다. 만일 그 플롯을 안다면, 우리는 그 사람이 경험할 감정을 예측할 수 있을 것이다. 이러한 관점에서 김승옥 소설 「무진 기행」에서 소설 속의 주인공의 감정을 연구하였다. 주인공 윤희중의 무진에 대한 기억과 감정, 주변인에 표출되는 분노, 타인에 대한 욕망이라는 관점에서 살펴보았다. 윤희중의 무진에 대한 기억은 그를 현재가 아닌 과거의 윤희중으로 시간을 되돌리는 구실을 한다. 윤희중은 현재에서 과거의 기억을 서술하고 있지만, 무진에서 경험하는 모든 일들은 과거의 그가 경험하고 겪은 일들을 기억하고 기억 속의 그를 직면하게 한다. 윤희중은 과거 전쟁으로 인한 사회 상황을 어머니에 대한 분노로 향하지만 결국 자신에게 표출하고, 현재 서울의 바쁜 삶에서 아내와 장인에게 대해 분노하지만 그 대상은 무진에서 만나는 다른 약한 대상에게 표출한다. 윤희중은 어릴 때부터 그의 욕망이 충분히 충족되지 못한다. 어머니에 의해 형성된 아니마의 이미지는 부정적인 것으로 아내와의 사랑도 대등한 관계에서 이루어지지 못한다. 아내는 어머니와 같은 존재로 인식하고, 그가 의존하는 대상이 된다. 그의 총족되지 못한 욕망은 그가 무진으로 왔을 때 그가 만나는 모든 여자를 자신의 일부로 혹은 예전에 알던 사람으로 착각하고 충동적인 욕망을 일으킨다. 결국 하인숙은 살아있는 존재로 그의 욕망을 충족시켜주는 존재가 된다. 그러나 그 또한 하룻밤의 무진에서의 추억으로 간주될 뿐이다. 윤희중의 감정은 불안하고, 분노하고, 충동적인 감정을 가지고 있다. 그의 이러한 감정은 그가 과거에 받았던 수치심과 모욕감과 더불어 그의 무책임한 행동으로 부끄러움까지 느끼게 한다. 그의 이러한 감정은 외적으로 그가 성공한 삶을 사는 것처럼 보이지만 내적으로 그는 과거 어둡던 시절의 모습을 그대로 간직한 미성숙한 삶을 살아가고 있음 보여준다.

The memory of Yoon Hee-jung’s Mu-jin plays a role in turning him back to the past, not the present. Yoon Hee-joong describes past memories in the present, but everything he experiences in Mujin remembers his experiences and experiences in the past and faces him in the memory. Yoon Hee-joong heads to anger against his mother in the past war, but eventually expresses to him the anger of his wife and father-in-law in his busy life in Seoul, but the target is to other weak objects he meets in Mujin. Yoon Hee-joong’s desire is not fully met from an early age. Anima’s image formed by her mother is negative, and her love with her wife is not equal. The wife recognizes her as a mother, and she becomes the object of her dependence. His unfulfilled desire creates an impulsive desire by mistaking all the women he meets as part of his or her former acquaintance when he comes to Mujin. After all, Hein-suk is a living being that satisfies his desires. But he is also regarded as a memory of a night’s Mujin. Yoon Hee-jung’s feelings are volatile, angry, and impulsive. His feelings, along with the shame and insult he received in the past, also make him feel ashamed of his irresponsible behavior. His feelings seem to be living a successful life on the outside, but inside, he shows that he is living an immature life, as he did in his dark past.
