본고는 허만하 시에 나타난 토포스(Topos)의 특성을 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 허만하는 자신만의 독특한 형이상학적 시세계를 견지해왔다. 본고는 허만하의 시론과 시집을 대상으로 토포스의 특성이 시에 어떠한 양상으로 표출되는지를 해명하려고 한다. 허만하는 시론을 통해 자신의 시세계를 적극적으로 개진하는 시인이다. 그는 많은 시론에서 풍경과 장소에 기반한 토포스의 특성이 자신의 시에 어떻게 반영 되었고 접합되었는지를 소상히 설명하였다. 허만하 시에 나타난 토포스는 구체적인 장소의 발견과 경험을 통한 실존적 인식이 결합된 양상으로 표출되었다. 또한 공간(Space)이 장소(Place)로 변이되는 토포스의 과정을 시에서 지속적으로 보여 주었다. ＜나무를 위한 에스키스＞, ＜왕피천 어귀에서＞, ＜지층＞ 등의 시는 이를 잘 드러낸 시편들이다. 허만하의 토포스는 형식을 통해서도 드러난다. 토포스의 방법론은 장소와 공간에 국한된 소재적 측면으로 파악되곤 한다. 허만하는 소재뿐 아니라 구체적인 방법적 시도를 통해 토포스와 형식의 결합을 이루어내고 있다. 구체적인 형식적 방법론의 구현은 산문시를 통해 이루어진다. 즉 산문시 형식을 통해서 토포스의 특성을 드러내고 있다. 본고에서는 이러한 토포스의 양태를 파악하고 이를 구현한 시를 분석하였다.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the characteristics of the Topos that appear in Her Man-ha’s Poetry. Her Man-ha has maintained his own unique metaphysical world. He is trying to explain the a criticism of poems and poetry in Her Man-ha. Her Man-ha is a poet who actively promotes the world of his poems through his essay. He revealed how the nature of the Topos based on scenery and location was reflected in the poem. His Topos was expressed as a combination of existential awareness through the discovery and experience of specific locations. It also continued to show the Topos process of turning space into a place. Her Man-ha’s Topos is revealed through form. It reveals the characteristics of Tox through prose poetry. In this thesis, we have identified the pattern of these Topos and analyzed the poetry that implemented them.
