본 연구는 집단상담의 치료적 요인에 대한 집단원의 지각을 탐색적으로 살펴보고자 하는 목적으로 이루어졌다. 이를 위하여 연구 참여자들의 지각을 시각적으로 확인할 수 있는 개념도 방법을 사용하였으며, 실제로 집단상담에 참여하여 긍정적 변화를 경험한 집단원들을 대상으로 인터뷰를 실시하여 이들이 지각하는 치료적 요인에는 어떠한 것들이 있는지 자료를 수집하였다. 이를 바탕으로 최종 도출된 76개의 치료적 요인에 대하여 연구 참여자들에게 유사성 분류와 중요도 평정을 요청하였다. 총 30명의 분류자료를 종합하여 다차원척도법 및 위계적 군집분석을 실시하여 집단원들이 지각한 치료적 요인에 대한 개념도를 획득하였다. 연구결과, 연구 참여자들이 지각하는 집단상담의 치료적 요인은 개념도 상에서 2차원 5개의 군집으로 나타났다. 차원은 ‘집단원 간 상호작용 - 리더/코리더의 개입’ 차원과 ‘치료적 환경으로서의 집단 - 문제에 대한 근원적 이해’ 차원으로 나타났으며, 군집은 ‘안전하고 응집력 있는 환경으로서의 집단’, ‘집단 안에서의 대인관계 학습’, ‘문제의 근원에 대한 깨달음’, ‘변화를 위한 집단 안팎에서의 적극적 실천’, ‘리더/코리더의 치료적 태도와 개입’으로 나타났다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 집단상담의 실제 및 상담자 교육에 있어 시사점을 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the group members' perception of the therapeutic factors of group counseling. Concept mapping method was used to visually confirm the perceptions of research participants and to collect the data of perceived therapeutic factors, interviews were conducted with group members who have experienced positive change by participating in a group counseling. Respectively, participants were asked to classify similarity and to evaluate the importance level of 76 therapeutic factors. The collected data from 30 group members were analyzed by Multidimensional scaling and hierarchical cluster analysis, and a conceptual diagram of therapeutic factors perceived by group members was obtained. As a result, the therapeutic factors of group counseling perceived by the study participants were shown in five clusters on two dimensions of conceptual diagram. Dimensions were shown as ‘Intergroup interaction - Intervention of leader / co-leader’ and ‘Group as therapeutic environment - Fundamental understanding of the problem’. Furthermore, clusters were composed of ‘Group as safe and cohesive environment’, ‘Learning through interpersonal relationship in the group’, ‘Enlightenment of the foundation of a problem’, ‘Active practice in and out of the group for transformation’, and ‘Therapeutic attitude and intervention of the leader / co-leader’. Based on the results of the study, implications for group counseling practice and counselor education were discussed.
