본 논문은 미래 교육환경을 살펴보고, 이에 따른 학교의 미래 교육에서의 대응방향을 살펴보았다. 저출산과 고령사회로의 돌입, 양극화 경향, 4차 산업혁명 등으로 학교는 기존의 전통적인 교육기관에서 지역사회와 함께 하는 지역의 교육문화복지 센터로서의 역할을 요구받게 될 것으로 보인다. 이에 대비하여 향후 학교는 보육시설, 노인복지시설, 체육문화시설 등을 포괄하는 복합시설로서 발전해야 할 것으로 보인다. 그리고 첨단 교육에 대비한 ICT 기반 첨단 교육시설을 갖출 필요성 역시 강조될 것이다. 이러한 학교 시설의 복합화와 첨단화, 그리고 지역주민과 함께 하는 평생교육기관 및 복지센터로서의 역할에 대한 수요는 학교에서의 제3의 전문직렬에 대한 수요를 증가시킬 것으로 보인다. 제3의 전문직으로서 교육복지사, 상담심리교사, 보건교사, 영양교사들이 미래의 학교가 교육복지센터로서 자리매김짓는데 있어서 중요한 역할을 담당해야할 것으로 보인다. 이에 따라 기존 교장-교사-직원 체제에서 교장-교사-전문직렬-행정지원체계로 학교 체계가 개편될 필요가 있으며 제3의 전문직렬은 교육복지강화와 학교교육효과 증진, 그리고 학교의 복합적 역할 강화에 있어서 교사와 더불어 중요한 기여를 해야 할 것으로 보인다.

This article analyzes environment of future education and role of school in the future. Due to low birth rate, aged society, social polarization, and 4th industrial revolution, schools will face new demands of change from traditional education system to the center for child care, welfare, art and sports. This implies that school facilities need to be developed into a complex center. Schools also need to have an ICT-based education facilities in order to educate students to prepare ICT society. These changes of schools will create the demand of third professional jobs in schools, such as education welfare professionals, school psychologists, nurses, nutritionists. Traditional school systems of principal-teachers-administrative officers will need to be changed to the systems of principal-teachers-third professionals-administrative officers. These third professionals will be playing an important role in enhancing educational welfare, school effectiveness, and complex role of schools.
