이 논문은 새롭게 발굴한 궁중 일기 자료 <긔묘년 조대비 입궐일기>를 소개할 목적으로 작성되었다. <긔묘년 조대비 입궐일기>는 계녀가류가사 <발몽인교가>와 국문 야담 <김공필젼>과 함께 하나의 두루마리안에 필사되어 전한다. 전체 402행으로, 매행 12~16자로 단 구분 없이 세로쓰기 되어 있다. <긔묘년 조대비 입궐일기>는 기묘년(己卯年)인 1819년(순조19)에 풍양조씨 가문 조만영(趙萬永, 1776~1846)의 딸인 훗날 조대비(趙大妃)가 효명세자(孝明世子, 1809~1830)의 세자빈으로 간택되어 입궐하는 과정을 담은 국문 일기 자료이다. 자료의 내력을 담은 발문이 없어 작품의 전모를 파악하기는 어렵지만, 두루마리에 함께 수록된 <발몽인교가>와 그 이본 자료 <경부록>을 검토한 결과, 조대비의 어머니인 은진 송씨 집안에서 세자빈으로 간택된 가문의 경사를 기록해 둘 목적으로 생성을 주도하여 전승시킨 것으로 보인다. 자료의 내용은 일기 자료답게 일자별로 기록되어 있지만, ‘긔묘 팔월 초구일 초간’, ‘십일 간’, ‘십일 간 잇튼날’, ‘간 사오일 뒤’, ‘팔월 념팔일 간’, ‘(구월) 구일 도습녜’, ‘구월 염칠일 봉’, ‘(구월) 염팔일’, ‘(구월) 염구일 가례날’, ‘그 잇튼날 폐예’와 같이 혼례 과정을 그날그날 일정한 규식에 맞게 기록하기 보다는, 필요에 따라 특정 부분만을 선택적으로 서술하였다. 자료의 전반부에는 초간택·재간택·삼간택의 간택 과정을, 후반부에는 혼례 의식 중에서도 책봉과 친영례 과정을 주로 표현하였다. <긔묘년 조대비 입궐일기>는 효명세자와 세자빈의 혼례 절차 및 그에 따른 소요 물품과 복식 등을 자세히 다루고 있어 궁중 풍속 연구에 중요한 자료가 된다. 또한 공적 일기자료에서는 볼 수 없었던 주변 인물들의 내면 의식이 잘 드러나 있어서 국혼 당시의 이면을 살필 수 있는 큰 가치를 지닌 자료이기도 하다.

The purpose of this study to introduce the newly discovered royal court diary, ‘Gimyonyeon (己卯年) Queen Dowager Cho’s (趙大妃) Diary of the Royal Court Entry (入闕日記)’. ‘Gimyonyeon Queen Dowager Cho’s Diary of the Royal Court Entry’ is transcribed in a scroll along with the Gyenyeogaryu Gasa < Balmongingyoga > and historical romances of < Gimgongpiljeon > written in Korean. It consists of 402 lines in total, 12 to 16 characters per line, and vertical writing regardless of paragraphs. ‘Gimyonyeon Queen Dowager Cho’s Diary of the Royal Court Entry’ which was written in Gimyo year (己卯年) 1819 (19th year of Sunjo), is a diary collection containing the process of being selected as the princess of prince Hyomyeong (孝明世子, 1809~1830), the future dowager queen Jo, daughter of Cho Man-yeong (趙萬永, 1776~1846) of Pungyang Jo's family, and her entrance to the royal court. It is difficult to grasp the whole picture of the work because there is no postscript containing the history of the material, but in the results of examining < Balmongingyoga > and its alternate version < Gyeongburok >, which are included together in the scroll, dowager queen Jo's mother, Eunjin Song's family, seems to have prepare the diary to record the happy occasion of the family being chosen as the princess in the family, and have handed down it. The contents of the data are recorded as daily data worthy of the diary data, but rather than recording the whole wedding process according to a certain standard of the period, the diary selectively described only certain parts as needed such as ‘August 9, Gimyo-year, first selection(初揀擇)’, ‘day 10, reelection(再揀擇)’, ‘the day after day 10, reelection’, ‘4-5 days after reelection’, ‘August 28, triple selection(三揀擇)’, ‘(September) day 9, triple rehearsal’, ‘September 27 proclamation’, ‘(September) 28’, ‘(September) 29, wedding day’, and ‘close on the day after’. The selection process of the first selection, reelection, and triple selection in the first half of the data, and in the second half of the wedding ceremony, proclamation and pro-welcome ceremony were mainly expressed. ‘Gimyonyeon Queen Dowager Cho’s Diary of the Royal Court Entry’ copes with the wedding procedure of Hyomyeong prince and princess, and the necessary goods and costumes in detail, and so it becomes an important data for the study of court customs. In addition, as the inner consciousness of the surrounding characters that was not seen in public diary data, is well evident, it is also a greatly valuable material with which we can look at the back side of the days at the time of royal wedding.
