목적：초등학교와 중학교의 교육 간극은 계속적인 이슈로 대두되는바, 불연속적인 교육 내용은 학습에 대한 어려움을 가중할 뿐만 아니라 궁극적으로 학습자가 형성하게 되는 지식의 구조에도 영향을 미친다. 따라서 이 연구는 학교 급 간 교육 내용이 효과적으로 연계되어야 한다는 관점 아래 초등학교와 중학교에서 다루어지는 문장의 구조 관련 단원을 대상으로 언어 네트워크 분석을 실시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 방법：본고는 그간 선언적인 차원에서 제기되었던 연계성의 문제를 논의하기 위한 기초 연구의 일환으로 언어 네트워크 분석법을 통해 학교 급에 따른 교육의 차이를 가시화하고자 하였다. 결과：그 결과 초등학교와 중학교는 동일한 주제일지라도 개념어의 수, 개념어의 종류, 개념어 간 연결성에서 뚜렷한 차이를 보였으며, 초등의 경우 문장 성분, 문장의 종류, 문장의 짜임이 비교적 독립적인 범주를 구성한 데 반해 중등의 경우 개념어의 수나 개념어끼리의 연결 정도가 훨씬 우세하였다. 결론：이와 같은 교육 양상은 학습자의 학습 흥미를 저해할 뿐만 아니라 학습자의 점진적인 문법 능력의 발달을 돕지 못하므로 초등과 중등의 연계성을 강화할 수 있는 방안을 다각도로 모색할 필요가 있다.

Purpose：This study aims to conduct semantic network analysis on sentence structure units dealt with in elementary schools and middle schools from the perspective that educational contents must be effectively connected between school classes. Methods：As gaps that exist in educational contents between elementary school and middle school are a continuous issue, discontinuous educational contents not only aggravate learning difficulties of learners, but they also affect knowledge structures that are ultimately formed. Therefore, this article attempted to visualize and show differences in concepts taught according to school class through semantic network analysis methods as a basic study conducted in order to discuss problems of connectivity that have been presented from a declarative level until now. Results：As a result, even with identical topics, clear differences were shown between elementary schools and middle schools with regard to the number of concepts, the types of concepts, and connectivity between concepts. Conclusion：It is anticipated that this study will ultimately serve as groundwork for learners in the development of effective grammar education.
