본 연구의 목적은 청소년의 금전지향태도 및 외모지향태도가 정서행동문제 형성에 직접적인 영향을 미치는가와, 부모-자녀관계는 이러한 금전지향태도 및 외모지향태도, 그리고 정서행동문제 형성과 어떠한 구조적관계를 가지는지를 밝히는데 있다. 또한 각 관련 변인들은 서로 어떤 영향력을 가지며 중재변인의 개입은 정서행동문제를 중재할 수 있는지를 밝히고자 한다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 한국아동·청소년정책연구원에서 수행한 NYPI 횡단조사(National Youth Policy Institute Cross Sectional Survey) 데이터를 사용하였으며, 전국 16개 시도에 분포되어 있는 초·중학생 6,359명을 대상으로 하였다(초기청소년 패널 3,164명; 중기청소년 패널 3,195명). 그리고 청소년의 금전지향태도 및 외모지향태도, 부모-자녀관계, 정서행동문제를 측정하였다. 구조방정식모형 분석결과 첫째, 청소년의 금전지향태도 및 외모지향태도 수준은 정서행동문제 형성에 직접적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 청소년의 금전지향태도 및 외모지향태도는 부모-청소년관계를 통하여 정서행동문제에 간접적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 초등학생 패널 및 중학생 패널 집단의 경우, 부모-청소년관계가 정서행동문제에 가장 많은 영향을 미치며, 그 다음으로는 외모지향태도, 금전지향태도 순으로 정서행동문제에 많은 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이로써 초기청소년(초등학생) 및 중기청소년(중학생)의 정서행동문제 형성 경로는 유의미한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다.
This research designed to pinpoint the intervention and identify factors, which could buffer the devastating impacts of adolescent emotional behavioral problems perceived money-oriented attitude and appearance-oriented attitude, is of critical importance. This study addressed ways in which adolescent money-oriented attitude and appearance-oriented attitude is associated with emotional behavioral problems and how these relationships might be mediated by the parent-adolescent relationship. Data of the Korea National Youth Policy Institute Cross Sectional Surve were used in this survey of 3,164 elementary school students and 3,195 middle school students. The results of this study, using structure equation modeling analysis, confirmed that first, adolescent emotional behavioral problems was significantly affected by money-oriented attitude and appearance-oriented attitude for both early adolescent(elementary school students) and middle adolecent(middle school student) groups. Second, parent-adolescent relationship is a mediator of the linkage between adolescent money-oriented attitude and appearance-oriented attitude and emotional behavioral problems in two groups. Third, for the both groups, the parent-adolescent relationship was the most important variable influencing emotional behavioral problems.
