본고는 다중언어시대의 이데올로기, 변화된 의사소통 방식, 언어 경관 등을 반영하여 한국어 말하기 시험이 어떻게 변화해야 할 것인가를 모색한 연구이다. 이를 위해 다중언어주의의 개념을 고찰하고 언어 평가와의 관련성을 논의하였으며 한국어 말하기 평가의 연구사 검토와 현황을 조사하여 비판적 관점으로 기술하였다. 본고의 연구 결과는 다음과 같다: 첫째, 한국어 학습자의 말하기 평가는 다중적 문해력, 상호작용 전략, 레퍼토리의 크기, 창발성이 구인으로 재고되어야 한다. 둘째, 시험 과업은 복수의 말하기 수행이 가능하도록 다양한 맥락과 가치가 내재되어야 하고 스토리텔링이 적극 도입되어야 하며 대화 참여자의 수행 변인이 고려되어야 한다. 셋째, 다중언어시대의 언어 경관을 반영하여 광고물, 기호, 표지판, SNS 콘텐츠 등이 시험입력물로 널리 사용되어야 한다. 본 연구는 다중언어시대의 사회적 단면에 대한 철학적 고찰을 기반으로 타당한 한국어 말하기 평가를 설계하고 실행하기 위한 방향을 시론적으로 개진한 의의가 있다.

This thesis explores how to change the Korean speaking test to reflect the plurilingualism, the changed communication style, and the language landscape. To this end, the concept of plurilingualism and the relevance of language assessment were discussed. In addition, the state of Korean Speaking Assessment was investigated and described. Based on these discussions, the followings are established: First, the Korean learners’ speaking test should be reconsidered as multiple literacy, interaction strategy, size of repertoire, and emergence. Second, the task of speaking test should include various contexts and values to be able to carry out multiple spoken words. Storytelling task should be actively introduced and the performance variables of dialogue participants should be considered. Third, advertisements, symbols, signs, SNS contents should be used as test prompt reflecting the language landscape of the pluri-lingual era.
