이 연구는 마을공동체 사업에서 참여자들 간의 상호작용이 마을공동체 사업의 성과에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하였다. 특히, 마을공동체에서 핵심적 역할을 담당하는 중간지원조직이 이해관계자들 간의 상호작용과 성과 간의 관계에서 어떻게 역할을 하는지에 대한 조절효과를 실증적으로 분석하여 정책적 함의를 제시하였다. 분석결과, 마을공동체 사업의 사회적 성과에는 일반주민과의 상호작용, 주민조직과의 상호작용, 읍면동과의 상호작용, 활동가들과의 상호작용, 다른 마을공동체와의 상호작용이 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면 중앙정부와의 상호작용은 사회적 성과에 부정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 경제적 성과에는 중앙정부와의 상호작용, 광역 및 시군구와의 상호작용, 활동가들과의 상호작용, 관련 기업체와의 상호작용, 다른 마을공동체와의 상호작용이 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 중간지원 조직의 조절효과를 분석한 결과, 읍면동과 사회적 성과의 사이에서 긍정적 조절효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났으며, 전문가와 경제적 성과, 관련 기업체와 경제적 성과 간의 관계에서 긍정적 조절효과를 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만, 중앙정부와 경제적 성과 간의 관계에서는 부정적 조절효과를 보이는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 이러한 결과로부터 마을공동체 활동에서 목적과 가치를 공유하는 상호작용과 관계망 형성의 중요성을 다시 한번 확인하였다. 반면에 목적과 가치를 공유하지 못하는 상호작용은 오히려 부정적인 효과만 낳을 수 있다는 점을 이 연구는 확인시켜 주었다. 마을공동체사업을 활성화시키기 위해서는 마을공동체 사업과정에서 중간지원조직의 역량을 강화시킬 필요가 있지만, 가치와 목적을 공유하는 상호작용과 관계망을 형성할 필요가 있을 것이다.

This study analyses how influence interactions among community development participants to the performance of community development projects. Especially, focusing on systematically analyzing moderating effects, the authors explore the roles of intermediary organizations on causal relationship between participants’ interaction and performance. According to the analytic results, the interactions with residents, neighborhood organizations, and Eup/Myeon/Dong, community activists, and other community projects promotes social performance of community development projects. However, interactions with the central government decrease social performance of community development projects. Also, interactions with the central government, regional & local authorities community activists, enterprises, and other community projects increase economic performance of community development projects. Moreover, the analytical results of moderating effects show that intermediary organizations have positive moderating effects to interactions between Eup/Myeon/Dong and social performance. And intermediary organizations have positive moderating effects to interactions between community development experts and economic performance. But, intermediary organizations have negative moderating effects to interaction between the central government and economic performance. The results of this study empirically verify the significance of interactions sharing objectives and value among participants on community development projects. In order to activate community development projects, interactions between community project participants will be effective, and supports of intermediary organizations will be more efficient in the process of carrying forward community development projects under network activities sharing value and objectives among participants.
