本硏究では、日韓兩國の大學生の會話におけるスピ一チレベルの運用をポライトスの觀点から、さまざまな人間關係の要因と關連付けて分析することにより、日韓兩國の實際のコミュニケ一ションでのスピ一チレベルの機能と特徵を捉えようとした。 その結果、韓國人大學生の會話に比べ日本人大學生の會話で親疎差によるスピ一チレベルの運用の違いがより明確に現れ、韓日兩國で共通に男子大學生の會話に比べ女子大學生の會話において親疎差によるスピ一チレベル運用の差がより明確に現れた。一方、中途終了型發話の場合、韓國人大學生の會話に比べ日本人大學生の會話において親疎差による待遇態度を非文末のスピ一チレベルの積極的な運用を通して示していることが分かった。

In this study, I tried to grasp the functions and characteristics of speech level in actual communication between Korea and Japan by analyzing the manipulation of the speech level in the conversation between university students in both countries. As a result, the difference in manipulation of the speech level according to the difference of intimacy was clearer in the conversation between Japanese students than in the conversation between Korean students. And, the difference in manipulation of the speech level according to the difference of intimacy was clearer in the conversation between female students than in the conversation between male students in both countries. On the other hand, in the case of incomplete utterance, it was found that the consideration for conversation partner according to the difference of intimacy is shown through the active manipulation of speech level in non-utterance end in Japanese conversation compared to Korean conversation.
