발달장애인의 성인기 사회적 참여와 삶의 질 향상에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 발달장애인을 대상으로 한 사회성 기술 교수에 대한 중요성이 더욱 부각되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 발달장애 성인 대상의 사회성 기술 중재의 연구 동향을 파악하고 향후 과제를 고찰하였다. 이를 위해 2005년 이후 국내외에서 발표된 발달장애인의 사회성 기술 중재 관련 문헌 33편(국내 15편, 국외 18편)을 선정하여 연구 동향에 대한 심층 분석을 실시하였다. 첫째, 전반적인 연구 동향 분석 결과 국내외 모두 2010년 이후부터 관련 연구가 증가하였으며, 연구 대상의 경우 국내에서는 주로 지적장애를 대상으로 한 연구가 많은 반면 국외에서는 자폐범주성장애를 대상으로 한 연구가 주로 이루어졌다. 연구 설계로는 집단연구가 주로 사용되었다. 둘째, 중재 특성 및 효과와 관련하여 교수 방법을 분석한 결과 국내에서는 모두 장애인당사자를 대상으로 한 직접 교수 방법이 사용되었으며 국외에서는 또래 지원과 주변인 훈련을 통한 교수도 함께 연구되고 있었다. 중재환경 및 목표 기술을 분석한 결과 학교, 직장, 주거, 지역사회 환경 등 다양한 환경에서 중재가 실시되었으며 이러한 중재를 통해 의사소통 및 대인관계, 활동 참여, 직업 관련 기술, 행동 관리 및 기타 목표 기술에 미치는 효과가 조사되었다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 국내 발달장애 성인을 대상으로 한 사회성 기술 중재 관련 향후 과제를 다음과 같은 측면에서 제언하였다: 1) 중재 대상 확대를 포함한 성인기 관련 연구의 활성화, 2) 주변 인적 자원 활용 및 교수 방법의 다양화, 3) 성인기 생활 및 사회적 참여 증진에 필요한 다양한 사회성 기술 교수, 4) 종속 변인 측정을 위한 다양한 평가 방법 적용.

As the social participation in adulthood and the improvement of quality of life of people with developmental disabilities has received increasing attention, the importance of social skills teaching has been more emphasized. The purpose of this study was to review the research trends and future directions of social skill interventions for adults with developmental disabilities. For this study, 33 relevant articles(15 domestic and 18 international) published since 2005 have been identified and analyzed. First, the results of analysis showed that the studies have been increasing in Korea and abroad since 2010. In terms of participants, the studies in Korea were focused on intellectual disabilities, and the majority of international studies put on emphasis on interventions of autism spectrum disorders. The research design were mainly group design. Second, direct teaching methods were used for people with developmental disabilities in Korea, and teaching through peer support and other people training was also studied abroad. In addition, it was examined whether communication and interpersonal relationship, activity participation, job-related skills, behavior management skills were effective through social skills intervention in school, workplace, residence, and community settings. Based on findings, the future directions were suggested as follows: 1) facilitating research including the extension of intervention subjects, 2) utilizing of human resources and diversifying of teaching methods, 3) teaching various social skills necessary for improving adult life and social participation, and 4) applying various evaluation methods to measure dependent variables.
