本稿では、類義語「ルール」「規則」を例に、単語使用に現れた語法を詳細に記述する方法について検討した。使用度と使用領域、構文的環境と連語の意味的特徴に注目し、「ルール」「規則」の区分基準を具体的に抽出した。 (1)「ルール」と「規則」の使用頻度はほぼ同じであった。従って、語彙指導における単語導入の優先順位や基本語彙の選定における頻度的な優劣をつけることは難しい。 (2)「ルール」が主に会話体のウェブテキストで使われるのに対して、「規則」は啓蒙的、説得的な広報紙での使用が目立つ。 (3)典型的な構文パターン「ルールを~」「規則を~」における動詞の意味的傾向から、「ルール」は日常的な決定、習得、実践、説明の対象であるのに対して、「規則」は公的·法的な公布、施行、改定、廃止などの対象であることが分かった。 コーパスは、語彙の総体的でマクロな観察のみならず、個別単語のミクロな分析にも有用である。本稿ではコーパスを通して単語に存在する固有の語法を正確に観察し、体系的に記述することによって類義語の明確な区分法を取り出せる可能性を確認した。

In this paper, we reviewed how to use the synonyms RUːRU and KISOKU as examples to describe the usage of the word in detail. The classification criteria of RUːRU and KISOKU were specifically extracted by paying attention to usage, usage area, syntactic environment, and semantic characteristics of collocation. (1) RUːRU and KISOKU were almost the same in frequency of use. Therefore, it is difficult to discuss the frequency superiority in the priority of word introduction in the vocabulary instruction and the selection of the basic vocabulary. (2) While RUːRU is mainly used in colloquial web texts, KISOKU stands out in enlightening and persuasive brochure. (3) Through the semantic tendency of backward verbs in typical syntax patterns, RUːRU is used as target for everyday decision, acquisition, practice, and explanation, whereas KISOKU is for public, legal promulgation, enforcement, revision, abolition. Corpus is very useful for microscopic analysis of individual words, as well as for holistic and macroscopic observation of vocabulary. In this paper, through the corpus, we observed the possibility of extracting the distinction of the synonym through the grammar comparison of words by observing and systematically describing the inherent phrases in the words.
