『오토기보코(伽婢子)』의 도교 수용과 호조(北条) 가문

本研究は、『伽婢子』作品の中で北条一族に関わる「伊勢兵庫仙境に至る」と「長生の道士」二つの物語を中心に、その登場人物と翻案意図について考察するものである。研究の結果、仙境譚「伊勢兵庫仙境に至る」では、北条氏康と伊勢兵庫頭は垂仁天皇と田道間守に擬えた。その理由は、田道間守と伊勢はいずれも移住民であり、垂仁天皇と氏康は土民に対して徳政を実施したという共通点がある。仙人譚「長生の道士」では道士に対する里見義弘の傲慢な態度について批判をしている。これらの人物設定は『北条五代記』と『北条記』作品の中で、里見義弘が行った悪事に関わる叙述の影響だと考えられる。『伽婢子』二つの物語はそれぞれ、読者達に徳を積んだ人は尊敬され、私欲を追い求める人は亡するという教訓を与えている。

This study examined the characters and themes of the two stories that are related to the Hojo family in “Otogibouko” – “Ise Hyogo Reaches Fairyland (伊勢兵庫仙境に至る)” and “The Taoist Hermit of Longevity (長生の道士).” In the fairyland tale (伊勢兵庫仙境に至る), “Hojo Ujiyasu” and the Ise vassals are compared to Emperor Suinin and Taji Mamori. This is because of their similarities; both Taji Mamori and Ise were immigrants, and the Emperor Suinin and Hojo Ujiyas ruled the people with benevolence. In the Taoist tale (長生の道士), Satomi Yoshihiro was criticized for his disrespectful attitude toward the Taoist hermit. This characterization seems to be influenced by the narrative related to the evil deeds done by Satomi Yoshihiro in the works of “Houjougodaikii” and “Hojokii.” The two stories of “Otogibouko” teach the readers that those who excel in virtue are respected and those who are without virtues are defeated.
