목적：이 연구는 초등교육에서 신체활동을 핵심 방법으로 한 고전문학 경험교육의 실제를 탐구하는 데 목적이 있다. 방법：이를 위해 고전문학 경험교육의 경험의의, 경험대상, 경험방법에 대한 이론적 배경을 살피고 교육모듈을 구성하여 그 효과를 실제 학습자를 대상으로 한 수업을 통해 탐색하였다. 결과：문자언어뿐 아니라 신체를 통해 외부대상을 받아들이는 비중이 큰 초등학습자들은 크게 ‘동작’, ‘시각화’, ‘교육연극’의 세 가지 신체활동 유형에 따라 고전시가·소설의 각 경험대상들을 경험하며 고전문학경험으로 고전문학에 대한 흥미를 생성하고, 이를 기반으로 중·고등교육에서의 고전문학 학습을 위한 역량을 마련할 수 있었다. 결론：초등교육에서의 고전문학경험교육은 중·고등학습자가 고전문학에 가지고 있는 부정적인 태도와 관련하여 고전문학교육의 난점을 해결할 수 있는 의의를 지니며, 특히 교육적으로 조직된 신체활동은 고전문학경험의 매우 적합한 경험방법이라고 할 수 있다.

Purpose：The Purpose of this study is suggesting the classical literature empirical education of which the physical activity is the key way. Methods： Exploring the experience meaning, object, way of the classical literature empirical education and designing the module to see the effect of the education. Results：Elementary students are familiar with the physical activities for the way to accept the world’s objects. Then they could got more effective educational results by experiencing the classical poet/novel parts with three types of the physical activities：‘acting’, ‘visualizing’, ‘educational play’ They made interest in the classical literature and the interest function as the base capacity for the middle or high school-level learning. Conclusion： The classical literature empirical education in elementary level can relieve the difficult points that the classical literature education has. And the physical activities for the education are the very appropriate way for experiencing the classical literature.
