본 연구는 통일문학교육과정을 설계하는 과정에서 통일문학교육의 제재 선정을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 통일문학교육과정의 여러 요소 중 본 연구자가 주목한 것은 통일문학교육의 제재 선정이다. 제재를 선정하는 것은 제재를 둘러 싼 내외적 기준을 고려하여 이루어진다. 그 중에서도 본 연구는 통일문학교육이 ‘이질성과 동질성 회복’을 최우선으로 하는 교육과정이기에 어느 한쪽 교육과정의 배제나 선택이 불가하다는 점, 그리고 미래 문학교육과정의 한 시기라는 점에 주목하였다. 통일문학교육 제재 선정의 방향성을 바탕으로, ‘북방의식’이 가진 통일문학교육적 의의를 살피기 위해 그동안 이루어진 ‘북방의식’의 양상과 함께 ‘북방의식’의 통일문학교육적 의의를 살폈다. 이를 바탕으로 북방의식이 가진 통일문학교육적 의의를 ‘공통의 역사적 사실을 통한 이질감 극복 및 동질감 회복’, ‘일방적 배제와 선택의 지양을 통한 한반도 문학의 내면 확장’, ‘북방의식을 다룬 디아스포라 문학 편입을 통한 한반도 문학의 외연 확장’으로 제시했다.

This study aims to seek the selection of sanctions for unification literature education in the course of designing the unification literature education course. Unification education, discussed in the education sector, is largely divided into “preparatory education” to prepare for the transition period and “preparatory education” to prepare for the post-unification period. If “pre-unification education” is an actual education on the Korean Peninsula after reunification, research into the curriculum, which is the core of education for unification, is essential. Among the various elements of the unification literature education program, the researcher noted that the selection of sanctions on the education of unification literature was made. The selection of sanctions is made in consideration of internal and external standards surrounding the sanctions. Among other things, the study noted that unification literature education is a curriculum that puts priority on ‘recovering heterogeneity and homogeneity’ and therefore cannot be excluded or chosen by either side, and it is a period of future literary education courses. Based on the direction of the selection of the sanctions, we examined the aspects of the “Northern Consciousness” and the significance of the “Northern Consciousness” in order to examine the significance of the unification literature education. Based on this, the significance of the unification literature education was presented as ‘overcoming alienation through common historical facts and restoring homogeneity’, ‘internal expansion of Korean literature through one-sided exclusion and selection’ and ‘external extension of Korean literature through the incorporation of Diaspora literature on the northern consciousness.’
