탈근대 담론 및 탈식민 담론의 확산과 더불어 다양한 문화 혼종 현상이 주목받고 있지만, 문학은 이질적 목소리들의 공존 가능성을 구현하는 글쓰기 실천이라는 점에서 본질적으로 혼종성을 가진다 할 것이다. 본 연구는 철학적 주제를 대중적 형식에 담아낸 디드로의 철학콩트를 중심으로 혼종의 비전과 혼종화 양상을 다층적으로 살펴본다. 디드로의 철학콩트에는 운동과 변화를 사유의 바탕으로 삼는 유물론자의 개별적이고 사적인 철학과 사상의 자유가 담겨 있다. 윤리적 판단의 문제를 제기하는 여러 구체적 사례들을 통해 디드로는 실제 상황 속의 미덕과 악덕에 대한 성찰을 전개하며 생물학적 자연주의에 입각한 기본법을 탐색한다. 철학과 문학, 사유와 형식, 사실과 허구, 진실과 감동, 즐거움과 유용성, 재미와 교훈 등 상반되는 것들을 뒤섞으며 일상 언어로 이루어진 대화체를 선호하는 디드로의 글쓰기는, 텍스트를 말하기와 듣기, 나아가 함께 말하기의 놀이로 만든다. 디드로의 철학콩트는 소설장르의 미학에 대한 성찰의 장이자 다양한 서사기법을 시도하는 실험의 장이기도 하다. 디드로에게 혼종성은 차이들이 교섭하는 ‘제3의 장’으로 소설장르의 새로운 규약과 미학을 마련해 간 원동력이라 할 수 있다.

With the spread of the postmodern and postcolonial discourses, various hybrid aspects have attracted the attention. However, the literature is intrinsically hybrid given that the literary practice embodies the possibility of the coexistence of the heterogeneous voices. This study examines in a multidimensional way the vision of hybridity and the aspects of hybridization in Diderot’s contes philosophiques, which express the philosophical themes in a popular form. In his philosophical tales, Diderot promotes the freedom of thought and his particular philosophy, even materialistic, based on the movement and the change. Through the concrete examples that raise the question of the moral judgment, Diderot develops his reflections on virtues and vices in real life and explores the fundamental law, that of a biological naturalism. In his tales, philosophy and literature, thought and form, facts and fiction, truth and emotion, pleasant and useful, amusing and instructive, all these contrary elements converge towards the ideal mixture. Favoring the dialogues, Diderot’s writing makes the texts a game of speaking and listening, even of co-speaking. His philosophical tales are at the same time a place of reflection on the aesthetics of the novel and a experimental field for various narrative techniques. Diderot’s hybridity should be understood as the negotiation table formed by differences and it becomes the driving force of the creation of the novel genre.
