본 연구는 간호 대학생을 대상으로 설문조사 및 포커스 그룹 인터뷰 방법을 사용하여 환자안전관리 활동에 대한 교육 요구도를 조사하였다. M시 및 C시 간호 대학생 3, 4학년 200명을 대상으로 2019년 3월 5일부터 6월 22일까지 자료 수집하였다. SPSS 프로그램의 Pearson's correlation coefficients 및 포커스 그룹 인터뷰 후 내용분석방법을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 환자안전관리 지식이 높을수록 안전 동기, 환자안전관리에 대한 태도 및 환자안전관리에 대한 수행 자신감이 높아진다는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, 임상실습기간 동안 환자안전사고 경험은 투약사고, 환자확인 오류, 감염전파 등의 환자안전과 관련된 사고를 관찰한 경험이 있음이 확인되었다. 결론적으로, 간호대학생들이 임상에서 환자안전관리를 잘 수행할 수 있도록 수행자신감을 높이는 것이 중요하며, 이를 위해서는 임상실습 전 환자안전관리 교육프로그램 개발 및 적용 연구를 제언한다.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the educational needs of patient safety management using a questionnaire and focus group interview. Data collected from March 5 to June 22, 2019, were collected from M and C city nursing college students in 3rd and 4th grade. Pearson's correlation coefficients of the SPSS program and focus group interviews were analyzed using the content analysis method. As a result, the higher the knowledge of patient safety management, the higher the safety motivation, attitude toward patient safety management, and self-confidence of patient safety management. The experience of patient safety accidents during clinical practice was related to medication accidents, patient identification errors, It has been confirmed that there have been observations of accidents related to patient safety such as transmission of infection. In conclusion, it is important to increase the self-confidence of nursing students so that they can perform patient safety management in clinical practice. For this purpose, it is suggested to develop and apply the patient safety management education program before clinical practice.
