본 연구는 어린이집 평가인증제가 당초 설정한 정책목표를 제대로 달성하고 있는지 평가한다. 어린이집 평가인증제의 중·장기적 효과로 어린이집 평가인증제가 학업성취도 향상에 기여하고 있는지를 평가하였다. 초등학교 1학년 아동을 대상으로 유아시기 평가인증 어린이집 이용 경험이 취학후 국어 및 수학역량에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 분석결과는 유아시기 평가인증 어린이집을 이용한 경험이 있는 아동이 그렇지 않은 아동에 비해 학업성취도가 높은 것을 보여준다. 이는 어린이집 평가인증제가 아동의 발달, 즉 학업성취도에 긍정적인 효과가 있음을 보여준다. 이러한 분석결과를 토대로 어린이집 평가인증제의 교육효과 개선을 위한 이론적·정책적 함의를 제시하였다.

This study evaluates whether daycare center accreditation system has achieved its policy objectives. Does the experience of using a daycare center certified have a positive effect on improving academic achievement? To explore the answers to these research questions, this study analyzed the effects of the childhood experience of an infant who used an evaluation certificate daycare center on their Korean language and math skills after entering elementary school. The result show that children who had had experience using a certified daycare center in early childhood had higher academic achievement than those who did not. These results implicate that daycare center accreditation system as a child care policy has a positive effect on children's academic achievement as the mid-to long term effects. Based on the results, this study suggested the theoretical and policy implications to improve the education effects of daycare center accreditation system.
