본 연구는 부모양육태도와 스마트폰의존의 관계에서 자아존중감과 우울의 직렬 이중매개효과를 알아보기 위한 목적으로 진행되었다. 이를 위해 한국청소년 정책 연구원에서 진행한 한국아동·청소년 패널조사 2018(Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey 2018, KCYPS2018)의 중학교 1학년 제 1차 조사 데이터 중, 연구목적에 부합하는 2,481명의 자료를 이용하였다. 부모양육태도와 스마트폰의존의 관계에서 자아존중감과 우울의 직렬 이중매개 효과는 SPSS Process macro를 사용하여 검증하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모양육태도는 자아존중감에 정적인 영향을 미치며 우울과 스마트폰의존에 부적인 영향을 미친다. 둘째, 자아존중감은 우울과 스마트폰 의존에 부적인 영향을 미친다. 셋째, 우울은 스마트폰의존에 정적인 영향을 미친다. 넷째, 자아존중감과 우울은 부모양육태도와 스마트폰의존의 관계에서 직렬 이중매개효과를 나타낸다. 이를 통하여 부모양육태도와 자아존중감, 우울이 스마트폰의존에 영향을 미치는 요인이라는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이와 같은 연구 결과를 바탕으로 스마트폰과의존 청소년에 대한 개입 및 후속연구를 위한 방안을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study was examine the effect of parenting attitudes on smartphone addiction in adolescents and the sequential mediation effect of self-esteem and depression. This study used data from 1th waves of the KCYPS 2018(Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey 2018), 2,481 students data were used to meet the purpose of the study. The sequential mediation effect was verified using SPSS process macro. The results are as follows. First, parenting attitudes have a positive impact on self-esteem, negative impact on smartphone addiction in adolescents and depression. Second, self-esteem has a negative impact on smartphone addiction in adolescents and depression. Third, depression have a positive impact on smartphone addiction in adolescents. Fourth, self-esteem and depression shows sequential mediating effect on parenting attitudes and smartphone addiction. According to the result, parenting attitudes, self-esteem and depression were suggested that important factors on smartphone addiction in adolescent. Based on these finding, the paper concludes it’s implications and limitations.
