본 연구는 항공서비스학과 대학생 중 중도탈락을 경험한 학생들에 대한 연구이며 그 목적은 중도탈락을 경험한 대학생들이 입학 전부터 입학 후 중도탈락을 결심할 때까지 경험한 심리적·환경적 요인들을 심층적으로 분석하였다. 이를 위해 항공서비스학과 중도탈락자 6명과 심층 면담을 실시하고 연구 결과는 질적 연구방법인 Giorgi의 현상학적 연구방법 4단계를 적용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 연구 결과 총 36개의 의미단어가 도출이 되었으며 이 의미단어를 포함하는 하위 구성요소는 15개, 구성 요소 3개가 도출되었다. 학교 중도 탈락과 관련하여 영향을 미친 구성 요소는 개인의 특성, 대학의 특성, 대학에서의 다양한 경험으로 나누어지는데 연구 결과를 중심으로 항공서비스학과에 주는 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학생상담을 강화하여 교수와 학생, 학교와 학생과의 소통을 원활히 하고 둘째, 학생들이 다양한 분야의 취업을 위하여 복수전공, 융·복합 연계 전공의 상담과 다양한 비교과 프로그램 등 항공서비스학과의 프로그램들을 다각화가 필요하다. 셋째, 지역별 항공서비스 연합 동아리나 전국별 항공대학 연합회 등으로 다양한 활동들을 재학생들에게 경험하게 함으로써 지방대생의 자존감 향상을 도모해 볼 필요가 있을 것이고 넷째, 동기부여 프로그램과 교수들이 취업 역량 강화를 위한 프로그램 등으로 꾸준한 학생 관리가 필요할 것이다. 다섯째, 방학 동안에도 대면, 비대면으로 접촉 할 수 있는 기회를 제공하여 학교에 소속감을 느끼고 재등록할 수 있도록 유도하는 적극적인 노력도 필요할 것이다. 이러한 연구를 통하여 향후 항공서비스학과의 학생 상담 강화와 수요자 중심의 다양한 교육커리큘럼의 확보, 학교 및 학과 내 소속감 강화와 안정적적인 취업 확보가 필요한 것으로 사료되며 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 제한점, 추후 연구를 위한 제언이 제시되었다.

This study is for the students who brake continuity of studying air-service at the university and did in-depth analysis these students' psychological and environmental causes why these students decided breaking continuity of studying from before to after entering into the University. For this study, did in-depth interviews with 6 students who did breaking continuity of studying air-service and this interview result is analysed by 4 steps of Giorgi's Phenomenological research method as a quality research. From this results, total 36 of meaning vocabulary is derived. Including this meaning vocabularies, 3 main themes and 15 sub-themes are derived. About breaking continuity of study at school, influenced components are classified to personal characteristic , university characteristic and various experience at the university. With the research result centrally, implication to air-service department is as followed. First, strengthening student counselling and makes communication between professor and student, between school and student smoothly. Second, air-service department needs to make various programs such as double major, fusion counseling related to major study, diverse non-subject programs for students to get a job from various working parts. Third, diverse activities from regional air-service unit club or by country aviation college unit get student various experiences, it will help local students to get self-confidence well. The forth, motivation program and related professors need continuous student managements to strength employment competency. The fifth, university gives face-to-face or untact meeting chance to during the vacation. it makes students feel sense of belonging and willing to register to school By this study, students need various educational curriculums, having strong royalty to school and their major and stable occupation to keep studying air-service. with this study base, limitation and suggestion are presented for further study.
