본 연구의 목적은 보건복지부 노인일자리 및 사회활동 지원사업에 참여한 노인을 대상으로 이들의 건강 및 사회참여 특성을 확인하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 2019년 10월 7일부터 11월 15일까지 참여노인 3,086명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 자료 수집은 조사원이 대면 조사하는 방식으로 진행하였고, 회수된 설문지는 검수과정을 거쳐 SPSS 21.0 프로그램을 사용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노인일자리 사업 참여노인의 건강 특성은 건강상태와 의료이용 현황을 통해 확인하였다. 참여노인은 사업 참여 전후로 건강상태가 개선되었으나 특정 질환을 앓고 있었고 주기적으로 의료시설을 이용하는 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 노인일자리 사업 참여노인의 사회참여 특성은 사회 인식과 사회활동 참여 정도를 통해 확인하였다. 참여노인은 한국 사회가 평등하다고 인식하는 경향이 있었고 저출산·고령사회에 대한 대비가 필요한 것으로 보았다. 이들의 사회활동은 주로 순수 친목, 사교활동 모임이 많았고 인간관계를 위한 활동이 가장 큰 비중을 차지하였다. 참여노인의 여가문화 활동은 기존 실태조사와 마찬가지로 단조로운 특징을 보였고 노년기 사회활동과 대인관계에 큰 의미를 부여하고 있었다. 본 연구는 활동적 노년의 관점에서 노인일자리 사업에 참여한 노인의 특징을 분석하고 이를 통해 우리나라 노인정책의 방향성을 고찰한 점에서 의의를 갖는다.

The purpose of this study is to identify the health and social participation characteristics of the older adults who participated in the Senior Social Activities and Job Program. A survey was conducted on 3,086 elderly people participating for 6 weeks from October 7, 2019, to November 15, 2019. Data collection was conducted by the face-to-face survey of 3,086 participants. The collected questionnaires were analyzed by the SPSS 21.0 program after the review process. The research results are as follows. First, the health characteristics of the older adults participating in the senior job program were confirmed through the health status and medication use status. The older adults had improved their health before and after participating in the program, but they were suffering from certain diseases and were regularly using medical facilities. Second, the social participation characteristics of the senior citizens participating in the senior job program were verified through social awareness and social participation. Participants had a strong tendency to recognize that Korean society was equal and needed preparation for low birth rates and an aging society. Their social activities were mainly pure social and social gatherings, and activities for human relations accounted for the most. The leisure culture activities of the older adults showed the same monotonic characteristics as the existing surveys and gave great significance to the social activities and interpersonal relationships of old age. This study is meaningful in that it analyzes the characteristics of the older adults who participated in the senior job program from the perspective of active old age and considered the direction of the policy.
