This paper applies Systemic Functional Grammar to study the different discourse features between Chinese and Korean Official Texts attempts to explain how distinct discourse meanings and functions are generated by different choices of language forms. Thereupon the present contrastive analysis, from perspectives of cultural context, situational context and three language Metafunctions, is expected to offer advice for either Chinese or Korean Official Texts. Meanwhile the applicability and operability of Functional Grammar in analyzing specific discourse are further testified.
