본 연구는 어린이집 교사의 예술 및 유아예술교육에 대한 현장 이야기를 듣고 유아예술교육에 대한 기초연구 및 교육적 가치를 모색하는데 목적이 있다. 질적 연구방법으로 7명의 연구 참여자들을 심층 면담하였다. 연구결과 어린이집 교사들은 예술이란 음악, 미술, 동작(춤)이라는 생각, 상상, 창작, 자유로움, 독특함, 아름다움, 다양함, 복잡함 등이 그려지며 예술적 경험을 통해 창의성이 가장 많이 표현된다고 보았다. 유아예술교육이란 시각과 청각 대·소 근육발달 등 다양한 감각을 사용하여 표현하는 활동이며 교사의 전문성이 요구된다. 2019 개정 누리과정에 적합한 예술교육으로 자율성, 창의성 신장을 추구하며 자유롭게 표현하고 스스로 찾아서 즐길 수 있는 놀이기회를 주어야 한다. 산책과 자연을 통해 예술을 경험하고 퍼포먼스활동을 통해 예술적 감성과 아름다움을 느낄 수 있는 시간을 가지려 노력하고 있었다. 이러한 결과를 통해 향후 양적 연구뿐만 아니라 유아예술교육프로그램개발 및 현장 적용 가능성을 통해 교사교육 및 관련연구가 필요함을 제언하고자 한다.

The purpose of this study is to seek basic research and educational values for early childhood arts education by listening to field stories about arts and early childhood arts education of daycare center teachers. In-depth interviews of 7 study participants were conducted with qualitative research methods. As a result, teachers in daycare centers considered that art is music, art, and the idea of movement (dance), imagination, creation, freedom, uniqueness, beauty, diversity, and complexity, and that creativity is expressed most through artistic experiences. Early childhood art education is an activity expressed using various senses such as visual and auditory large and small muscle development, and requires teacher expertise. The arts education suitable for the 2019 revised Nuri course should provide autonomy and creativity, and freely express and find and enjoy themselves. We can see that we are trying to take time to experience art through walking and nature and to feel artistic sensitivity and beauty through performance activities. Through these results, I would like to suggest that teacher education and related research is needed through future quantitative arts research as well as the possibility of early childhood arts education program development and field application
