사진은 뛰어난 시각적 정보 전달 요소를 중심으로 다양한 산업분야에서 적용되어 활용되고 있다. 일상생활 분야 역시 사회적 흐름과 유행에 밀접한 관계를 갖고 전시 및 홍보를 위해 다양하게 활용되고 있다. 이처럼 사진은 우리에게 친근하고 밀접한 분야라고 할 수 있다. 일상생활 또는 산업 전반에서 다양하게 활용되는 사진 가운데에서 사진 산업의 근본이라고 할 수 있는 증명사진의 경우 좁게는 개인의 신원을 확인할 수 있도록 해주는 수단이다. 넓게는 대한민국 구성원의 기초정보를 제공하는 국가 최대 개인정보 데이터베이스라고 할 수 있다. 특히, 증명사진의 경우 본인의 신분을 증명하기 위한 목적으로 사용되는 주민등록증, 운전면허증, 여권과 같이 공인신분증에 사용되며, 전 국민이 촬영해야 하는 사진 산업의 핵심이라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 ‘증명사진’이라는 키워드를 빅데이터를 통해 소비자 인식의 흐름을 분석하였다. 20년간 2년 주기와 5년 주기로 패러다임 변화를 분석하여 식별이라는 역할을 넘어 개인의 취향과 정체성을 드러내며 전시 측면과 여러 가지 방법으로 그 역할을 한다고 볼 수 있다는 결론을 도출하였다. 이렇게 알아본 증명사진의 패러다임 변화는 기업과 학회 등 사진 산업전체를 포함하여 다양한 미디어, 전시에 활용할 수 있는 유용한 자료로 제시될 것으로 기대한다.
Photography is applied and utilized in various industries centering on its excellent visual information delivery element. In the field of daily life as well, photography is closely related to the social trend and transitions and is used for exhibitions and publicity purposes. As such, photography is a familiar and intimate field to the general public. Identification photography can be considered as the basis of the photography industry among photography fields widely and diversely utilized daily and industry-wide. Broadly speaking, it is the largest personal information database of the nation that provides the basic information of residents of the Republic of Korea.
This study analyzed the keyword, ‘identification photography’ via big data to examine the trend in consumer perception. The paradigm shifts were analyzed based on 2-year and 5-year cycles for a period of 20 years. Based on the analysis, the conclusion derived showed that identification photography exhibits personal taste and identity beyond the role of identification, and the role is fulfilled by various methods, including the sphere of an exhibition. The shifts in paradigms of identification photography identified thereof are expected to provide useful materials for the entire industry of photography, including companies and academic societies, in addition to the utilization for diverse media outlets and exhibitions.
