국내 전시에서 꾸준히 나타나는 현상 중 하나는 아카이빙(Archiving)의 활용과 확장이다. 아카이브는 사회와 무한히 다양한 방식으로 관련되어 있고, 그 연결고리를 찾아 묶어주는 것이 아카이빙(Archiving)이다. 본 연구에서는 아카이빙과 전시가 접점을 이루며 만들어내는 특성을 파악하고자 한다. 또한, 일민미술관과 중앙선거관리위원회가 함께 주최한 <새일꾼 1948-2020> 전시를 통해 아카이브 전시가 갖는 확장적 가치를 구체적으로 밝히는 것이 목적이다. 이에 대한 결과로는 첫째, 아카이브 전시는 아카이빙개념에서 이해할 수 있으며, 이러한 맥락에서의 큐레이팅 담론이 확장되어야 한다. 둘째, 선거 역사를 다루는 자료 기반의 전시가 예술의 영역과 만나 스펙트럼을 넓혀준다. 셋째, 참여를 통한 의미 만들기, 관람자 개인의 영역에서 이루어지는 재아카이빙까지 <새일꾼 1948-2020> 전시의 아카이브즈를 이룬다.

One of the steady phenomena in Korea exhibitions is the utilization and expansion of archiving. Archives are involved in an infinite variety of ways with society, and it is archiving that finds and ties those links. In this study, we want to identify the characteristics that archiving and exhibitions create in a point of contact. The purpose of this study is to clarify the expansionary value of archive exhibitions through the < New Worker 1948-2020 > organized by Ilmin museum and the Central election management committee. As a result of this study, first, archive exhibitions are understandable in the concept of archiving, and the curating discourse in this context should be extended. Second, a data-based exhibition dealing with election history meets the realm of art and widens the spectrum. Third, the exhibition < New Worker 1948-2020 > is an archive of the exhibition, including the creation of meaning through participation and re-archiving, which takes place in the personal sphere of the spectators.
