본 소고에서는 코로나19의 발생 원인과 진행과정에서 빚어진 다양한 사회문제를 살펴보면서 이에 대한 해결책을 모색하고자 한다. 아울러 코로나 19와 같은 바이러스 팬데믹 시대를 살아가는 데 있어서 기독교 공동체가 감당해야 할 교회의 대사회적 역할과 과제에 대해 고찰하고자 한다. 코로나19 바이러스는 이전에 경험했던 바이러스들과는 차원을 달리하면서, 우리의 삶의 방식을 송두리째 뒤바꾸고 재배치시키고 있다. 코로나 바이러스의 원인은 기후변화와 야생동물의 멸종, 그리고 도로 건설과 개간을 위해 자행된 산림과 숲의 파괴로 인해 이전에는 접촉할 기회가 거의 없었던 야생동물과의 접촉기회가 늘어나게 된 결과이다. 인간이 자연을 무분별하게 착취하고 생태균형을 파괴한 결과, 바이러스가 인류의 건강과 생명을 위협하게 되었다. 코로나19 바이러스는 두려움과 불안을 증폭시키는 미지(未知)의 위험요인이다. 미지의 위험은 숙지된 위험과는 차원이 다른 사회심리적 영향을 미친다. 대중은 인포데믹(Infodemic)과 같은 거짓정보에 쉽게 현혹된다. 감염자나 감염된 집단은 바이러스에 감염된 억울하고 불행한 피해자일 뿐이다. 하지만 감염되었다는 이유 하나만으로 모든 도덕적 비난과 혐오는 집중된다. 감염병은 사회적 취약 계층들과 노령층과 기저질환자들을 위협하면서 공동체의 취약점을 여실히 드러낸다. 코로나19를 해결하기 위해서는 생명살림과 원 헬스로의 전환이 필요하며, 시민들이 문제해결 과정에 자발적으로 참여하면서 상호 협력하는 거버넌스(governance)를 함께 모색할 필요가 있다. 또한 정부는 제약회사와 연구기관이 치료제와 백신을 조속히 개발할 수 있도록 합리적인 유인책을 쓸 필요가 있다. 코로나19 사태는 교회가 변혁해야 함을 일깨워 주었다. 교회는 공교회성을 회복하고 공동체적 가치를 구현하는데 앞장 설 필요가 있으며, 영성을 다시 회복하여 대사회적 책임을 다해야 한다. 교회는 세상의 희망이고, 생명과 공동체를 살리는 회복의 공동체가 되어야 한다.

In this paper, I want to find the solution to the problem, surveying the root cause of COVID-19 and various social problem revealed the process. And I also want to consider the social roles and challenges which the Christian community must bear in virus pandemic era such as COVID-19. Differing dimensionally from the previous virus that we experienced, COVID-19 virus is completely reversing and re-accommodating our life style. The causes of COVID-19 are the climate change and extinction of wild animals, and resulting from the destruction of forests for the road construction and land cultivation, the increasing contact opportunity with wild animals more often than in the past. In consequence of human exploiting the nature imprudently and destroying the balance of ecology, viruses threatens the human life and health. The COVID-19 virus is unknown risk that amplify the fear and anxiety to us. The unknown risk affects psychosocial influence as compared with the well acquainted risk. The public tends to be deceived by the false information likewise infodemic easily. The infected group are just innocent and unfortunate victims who got the virus but are being blamed and hated for being contaminated. The infectious disease reveals the weakness of community while threatening social disadvantaged class and elderly groups and the basal patients. To seek the solution of COVID-19, we need to transition for the one-health and also citizens have to participate in the solutions voluntarily alongside a collaborative governance. The government needs to use the rational inducement which pharmaceutical companies and research institutes to develop a possible medicine and the vaccines as soon as possible. It is during the coronavirus crisis that the church must be reformed. The church must revive the character of universal church and must lead with the community value, and must have the social responsibility. Therefore, the church will be the hope of the world, to lighten the world and must be the community to restore and revive humanity.
