본고에서는 사도행전 6장 1절에서 7절까지의 단락을 중심으로 예루살렘공동체에 발생한 문제와 더불어 누가가 그의 행전 전체 구성에 어떠한 의도를 본문 속에 담아 놓았는가에 대해 연구하였다. 누가를 통해 언급된 예루살렘 공동체의 성장은 이제 예루살렘이라는 지역에 국한되는 것이 아니라 이방 땅으로 확장된다는 것이, 본 단락에서 ‘일곱 사도’의 선출이라는 사건을 통해 드러난다. 누가는 그의 공동체가 앞으로 계속되어야 하는 이방 땅을 향한 선교를 염두에 두고, 그것들을 통해 생길 우려에 대해 문제가 발생하지 않도록 예방하고자 하였다. 그리고 또한 유대 그리스도인들에 위축되어 있는 이방 출신 공동체 멤버들을 독려하여 중심인물들로 성장시키길 원했다. 누가는 그의 행전을 통해 그리스도 공동체의 근원에 유대적 요소에 대한 인정을 전제하지만, 성장의 바람에 있어 중심적 역할은 이방인 그리스도인들이 감당함을 말하고자 한다. ‘일곱 지도자 선출’사건은 누가의 그러한 요소를 보이기 시작하는 첫 증거로 누가가 그의 공동체에 요구하는 바를 나타낸다. 본고는 이 중요한 의미를 가진 본문을 통해 교회 내 문제 해결과 성장의 관계를 파악하고, 그 틀 안에서 ‘일곱 지도자’의 의의 또한 밝히고자 한다.

This study sets out to investigate the problems that happened in the community of Jerusalem and the intentions that Luke hid with focus on Acts 6:1-6. The event of choosing “the seven” in the paragraph showed that the growth of Jerusalem community would not be limited to the area of Jerusalem but expanded into the gentile land. Keeping in mind his community’s missionary work that should continue in the gentile land and having concerns with its outcomes, Luke tried to prevent any problem from happening. In addition, he wanted to encourage community members to grow into central figures. Even though Luke had a premise of recognizing the Jewish elements at the root of the Christian community, he maintained that gentile Christians should play central roles in hopes of growth. The present study presents Luke’s requests for his community as the first piece of evidence that he started to display such elements.
