This article tries to conduct research with its period of interest limited to the times from the US military government to the foundation of the Korean government in the horizontal dimension of the history of Korean language education under its awareness of the fact that work on Korean language textbooks since the National Liberation has been an important basis for the establishment of the identity and framework of the Korean language subject under the Curriculum led by the government. Moreover, in the sense that it initiates full-scale discussion of the structuring of the current grammar knowledge system in school grammar and contrastive analysis on the side of the structuring of the knowledge of grammar with the approved and certified grammar textbooks in the period of the American military government before the unified grammar and the foundation of the Korean government as its subjects, this article takes particles, alias Josa`s in Korean, as its subjects. Also, it tries to review changes in the methods of the description of particle-related grammatical categories through the comparison of the systems and descriptive methods in the grammar textbooks at that time with those in the grammar textbooks in the 7th Curriculum period. The process of actual analysis was divided into: 1) the level of part-of -speech classification; and 2) the level of individual part-of-speech description. Part-of-speech classification was again divided into postposition establishment, i-predicative particle establishment, existential predicate establishment, conjunction establishment, and predicative particle establishment, and individual part-of-speech description into verb, adjective, postposition, i-predicative particle, existential predicate, conjunction, and predicative particle problems. The analysis of the structure of the grammatical knowledge system related with particles in the grammar textbooks for the secondary education in the US military government period in which interest in the Korean language and grammar was extremely exalted after the National Liberation and diverse methods of the description of grammar were tried with the approval and certification system under the particular situation of the US military ruling is expected to contribute itself to the exploration of an effective structure of particle-related grammatical knowledge. Specifically, we can hope with this study to confirm the historical changes in the classification of particles, their semantic functions, explanatory methods for particles etc. Also, such exploration of the structure of the grammatical knowledge system related with particles is expected to have something to suggest to education of Korean grammar for foreigners as well as the development of grammar textbooks later and grammar for natives.

This study aims to explore constructs of grammar inquiry. For this purpose, the self-awareness of learner about grammar inquiry ability has been surveyed and exploratory factor analysis was conducted. According to the result, `problem finding` could be established as one factor, but `establishing a hypothesis`, `verifying a hypothesis`, `drawing a conclusion` are combined into one factor, and `generalization`, `monitoring and regulation` are also combined into one factor. The result implies that `analytical ability` could exist on the base of `establishing a hypothesis`, `verifying a hypothesis`, and `drawing a conclusion`. Also, `metacognitive monitoring of the inquiry process` could be established as one factor, because metacognitive ability could exist on the base of `generalization` and `monitoring and regulation`. The result also implies that while the sort of grammatical knowledge is involved in grammar inquiry process, but whether the knowledge is about structure or about semantic function is irrelevant to the factor. Finally this study suggested that more researches on constructs of grammar inquiry should be conducted by using qualitative and quantitative methods, because constructs of grammar inquiry can not be determined through just one study.

학습자 인식을 통한 `이다`의 성격 분석

School grammar defines `ida` as a predicative case particle. However, `ida` has been discussed as a grammatical category such as a verb, a copula, an affix, etc. This shows that `ida` has various grammatical properties. But learners learn `ida` as a predicative case particle, and simply memorize the difference with other particles as an exception without the process of observing and understanding diverse grammatical properties. Since school grammar should be systemized in the aspect of education which is different from the normative grammar, learners should be seen as an important factor. Therefore, this study analyzed how learners have recognized `ida` morphologically and syntactically through an oral test and learning activity of `ida.` As a result, most learners understood that `ida` has the property of a verb (rather than a particle) and the semantic relationship of `anida.` About 30% of the students write `ida` apart from preceeding nominal words, and the majority of students recommended that it`s okay to write `ida` apart. Accordingly, the learners` perception of `ida` presents the need to reconsider the characteristics of `ida` of school grammar.

The purpose of this paper is to obtain an implication for Korean classical literature education from the theatres` achievement of Shakespeare education in the UK. Theatres in the UK have criticised that the wrong teaching method has led to the failure of Shakespeare education in schools and have tried to introduce their method of teaching Shakespeare as a play, which is called rehearsal room pedagogy, to the schools. In this paper we examine the plays for young people, guide books of teaching Shakespeare, and toolkits for school teachers provided by the Shakespeare`s Globe and The Royal Shakespeare Company from where following implications are extracted. Firstly, it became more clear that the one who learns and enjoys the classical literature is the learner itself. Therefore the aim of teaching classical literature should be oriented toward the way where the learners are able to be rewarded esthetically while they are learning classical literature just as they do while playing Shakespeare. Secondly, we should find the teaching method depending on what classical literature is like. For this, researchers of Korean classical literature, Non-formal educational organization such as theatres, and schools and teachers need to cooperate as they do in the UK. Thirdly, research which convinces the necessity of newly adapted teaching method is needed whether it is a theoretical argument or a data-analysis as The Royal Shakespeare`s Company gathered detailed feedback from schools. These implications range from the method which we can adapt immediately to the tasks which need long term project to be achieved. In succeeding research we will deal with the specific teaching method adaptable and make a plan for the reformation of Korean classical literature education allied by non-formal education.

The purpose of this paper is to study the characteristics of self-expression in poetic text. The importance of self-expression in Korean education is increasing, and many Korean education researches emphasize functionality and efficiency in self-expression. However, this study emphasize that the most important thing is the growth of the learners through self-expression when we pay attention to self-expression ability in Korean education. It is because it is more important to reflect on oneself, to deepen the awareness of oneself, and to expand inside of oneself through self-expression process. Poetry is a typical self-expression genre. In the process of writing poetry, a exploration for oneself is made and the inner side of oneself is expressed by way of the exploration. And these characteristics of poetry are often expressed in the way of `confession`. Therefore, in this paper, we analyzed the aspect of confession in order to examine the characteristics of self-expression in poetry. In the process of poetic self-expression, confessions are typified by authenticity, vagueness, rationalization and disclosure. According to each type, the attitude of confession, the object and personality of self-expression, and the depth meaning of self-expression are divided. In the subsequent study, it will be possible to design a path for self-expression of learners in poetry education, focusing on the type of self-expression.

현대시 독자의 윤리의식 구성에 관한 연구

This study aims to introduce the methods of constituting ethics by modern poetry reader and to discuss the feasibility of practicing the methods in poetry classroom. The direction of constituting ethics in poetry reading can be furcated: One is to understand the request propounded by a poem as the other. The other is to grope for truth by making use of a poem. The former is related to the ethics of Levinas, and the latter is related to the ethics of Badiou. And this study explores the feasibility of practicing these methods by analyzing the high school reader`s responses about “With burning thirst”. In case of the direction of facing the other, most readers actively understand the request propounded by the poem but some readers only try to analyze or explain the poem. And in case of the direction of groping for truth, most readers are not familiar with the direction but the significant possibility of thoughtful quest is found. On the basis of the above, this study suggests some points about constituting ethics in poetry classroom as follows: First, make the readers involve the evaluative statement in their response about a poem and explore the discourse at the bottom of the response. Second, activate diverse conversation in the classroom so that the reader`s horizon of ethical thought can be extended. Third, promote reader`s sensibility of ethics in the long term and offer relevant experiences.

The purpose of this study was to explore the reader`s perception of reality involved in the process of novel interpretation and to design educational methods accordingly. The process of novel interpretation has a multi-layered structure in which the perception of reality by various person subjects is communicated. In addition, through this dialogue, the reader`s perception of reality finally grows and reconstructs. Therefore, we analyzed the actual perception of the actual reader by using the growth stage of the perception of reality as an analysis frame. The analysis of the analysis text of 52 high school students` readers on "The day of novelist Kubo," revealed the following perception of reality. The results are as follows. "return to subjective perception of reality before novel experience", “mutual reality recognition through novel experience", and “meta interpretation and reconstruction of reality recognition". Each was stepped into a first - person reality recognition, a second person reality recognition, and a third person reality recognition. Learning readers who showed first-person perception of reality tended to return to or reinforce their existing perception of reality rather than experiencing the text world of the novel. The readers who had perceived the second - person reality revealed the similarity of their perception of the reality and the perception of the other, and expressed the attitude of mutual dialogue. Readers who have reached the perception of the third person have re-read the world around them through the text world and have prearranged their own consciousness of the reality in this process. In addition, he showed the reflexive ability to reconcile the author`s perception of reality and to communicate with it, and to perceive his own reality as well. Through this analysis, this study proposed a method of education for realistic perception growth of readers. It was designed to provide an educational medium in accordance with the perception of reality that readers reached. First, in the first - person recognition phase of reality, listening and fictional conversation about fictional other is called novel text. In the second personality recognition stage, reading texts of his own interpretation texts and his own interpretation codes were suggested. In the third - person recognition stage of reality, the process of communicating and communicating with the other, the interpreting community, has been proposed. This study has significance in that it has practically explored the relationship between the perception of the reader and the interpretation of the novel, which has not been pondered sufficiently yet.

다문서 읽기 환경을 고려한 비판적 읽기 개념의 이론적 확장

This paper aims to conceptualize critical reading in the environments of multiple texts (sources) comprehension, as it expands and updates the traditional notion of critical reading. Reading educators and scholars interpreted critical reading in the different approaches: functional, holistic, and resistant perspectives. Despite the different strengths and limitations of the approaches, one common assumption was identified: critical reading was understood as meaning construction between “a reader” and “a text”. The single text assumption was problematic due to the weak ecological validity which barely reflected ordinary readers` authentic reading. Therefore, it was necessary to expand the notion of critical reading including multiple texts comprehension. The new notion of critical reading was theoretically sound because it provided readers better opportunities to learn and practice diverse critical thinking and skills in reading. With the notion in mind, the 2015 Revised National Curriculum of Korean Language Education was analyzed and reviewed in terms of its scope and sequence, in relation to critical reading. Finally, the future improvements of the National Curriculum were suggested and discussed.

PISA 읽기 평가틀의 변화 특징 탐색

This study aimed at investigating trends on PISA assessment framework in reading as focusing on PISA 2000, PISA 2009 and PISA 2008. In those PISA cycles, reading was/is a main domain so that new reading framework and items were/are developed as reflecting socioeconomic change. Looking into trends, we prospect where reading research and practice in educational field move for. In addition, we can gain insights into what factors are to enhance reading competencies in 21st century. Comparing to PISA 2000 and PISA 2009, new reading framework and items for PISA 2018 are composed of new elements as follows: 1) scenario based reading assessment 1) navigation indices to comprehend multiple texts via hyperlinks 3) synthesizing texts through author`s own perspective. In order to enhance students` reading competency, the following suggestions were provided: enlarge reading theory to goal-oriented reading in given real world situation. In-depth study on navigation indices to guarantee searching relevant information from webpage. Finally, I suggest reader as an author for new text takes his/her own authorship to synthesize multiple texts where diverse perspectives exist.

고등학생 국어교과 학업성취도의 영향요인 분석

The purpose of this study is to obtain theoretical and practical implications to improve achievement in Korean language education by identifying variables that affect achievement of Korean language learning. Based on Biggs` (1987) 3P model, the authors proposed a hypothetical model in which self-efficacy, teaching ability, and class attitude affect achievement and analyzed the structural relationship between the variables of 3,936 high school students participating in the third year (2014) of GEPS (Gyeonggi-do education longitudinal study). The results of this study are as follows. First, self-efficacy and teaching ability had a significant influence on class attitude. Second, self-efficacy, teaching ability, and class attitude had a significant effect on achievement. In addition, class attitude mediated the relationship between self-efficacy and achievement and the relationship between teaching ability and achievement. Based on this, the authors discussed the strategic implications for improving self-efficacy, teaching ability, and class attitude in high school Korean language education.
